Could also be the handbrake mechanism. I've had the retaining springs come adrift allowing the shoes to rub all the time. Broken bits grinding inside the hub - Not Good!.

Has anyone any ideas?. I bought my car last week (then found out it had a blown head gasket) Had that changed and now very 'tappety'. Not how a Lexus is suppoed to sound. Mine does seem worse when hot?. Had regular oil changes and new oil after head went.

What's the best way of removing the lens of the headlight? - seems to be glued / sealed on. I've had to put some lights in the oven in the past to soften the sealer.
