    Also on the IS300 spec sheet that's on here it lists them as 'halogen hid headlamps' Confused.com!!!

    Thanks for the reply, so if I understand correctly, the hid bulb with the gas in can be housed in a halogen or projector style cluster? :-/

    28yr old. 4yrs no claims, Missus as named driver. Fully comp & protected no claims. £468.95 per year on an IS300 with £250 excess, can't grumble at that really....

    Hi guys first couple of newbie questions so don't bite :-p Firstly, can I replace the sidelight bulbs with led ones - if so, are there any side effects like flickering or strobing? Secondly, my car is fitted with halogen HIDs. Why is the difference between these HIDs and xenon HIDs? I thought HIDs needed to have a projector lens? What lumens would the standard bulb be 4300k? Also what fitment is the bulb? Thanks in advance for the replies

    Hi guys. Just put a deposit down on an IS300. Pick it up tomorrow, I can hardly contain myself! Always wanted one of these cars. Went for the 3.0 over the 2.0 because I wanted an auto and for the extra power the 3.0 isn't much worse economy wise! Will upload pics when I get it. I apologise in advance for any stupid questions I will no doubt ask! Martin
