  1. Hay guys, I was hoovering the ISF today and spotted a circular button/switch where the throttle pedal hits the floor. The carpet is cut around this so it's obviously important. There's also a click from it when the pedal is pushed against it. Any idea what this switch does, has me perplexed!
  2. Just back from the ring again on Friday, only spotted an LFA in the car park! Super looking thing in the flesh. It passed me half way around too, as I was driving a race spec Suzuki swift. Even had the air brake up as he lashed past. The sound is incredible from it.
  3. I ran high octane fuel(98 Ron) on a European trip in the ISF and noticed the difference all right. I got more distance per tank too, about 40-50 miles! Not available in dear old Ireland dough.
  4. Its all down to knowing the track, my brother went out in the ring taxi which is a BMW M5, the new V8 model and where we are nudging 140 mph in the ISF, the taxi is at 165mph. on weekends you could spend all day in the car park just looking at other cars not doing any laps and youd be happy!!
  5. Hi John, plenty of GTRs nocking about there, GTRs are very popular with Dutch petrol heads! Didn't see any RS6s or 4s this time but have lots on previous trips. The ISF really is the business on the track, my mate had a Holden HSV with him, which is basically a Vauvhall VXR8 , I drove both on the track and the ISF is quicker, we didn't push the cars too much, seen as we have to get them home in one piece. I know the track fairly well but was still overtaken by a good few cars, one was a corsa VXR! That guy was mixing with GT3s and R8s so he's obviously a local. The gear change and the throttle blip come into their own on the ring when pushing the car, the V8 soundtrack isn't bad either. Can't recommend it enough, maybe an ISF road trip over is calling? Any takers.
  6. You could always just move the car away from the race track, then notify the insurance. Iveseen this done at the ring in hire cars. A mate Leaked coolant onto the track in his 911 GT3 and 4 cars skidded on it and we're all written off, 2 911s and a CLK 350 Benz included. AXA insurance washed their hands of it until ZEE German police got involved. 400,000 euros Payed out on that one! A huge amount of Brits over there any time I'm there, so don't know how they get around it. In truth, you don't even want to think about having an off!!
  7. We had a laugh with the M5 in the first pic, he couldnt get any higher than 14.5mpg, I averaged 26.4 for the whole trip! not bad considering the high speed stuff.
  8. thought Id share this Lambo pic too, this guy didnt do any laps in it, too busy lapping in his enzo.
  9. gave it some wellie on the Autobahn. Even spotted a German owned ISF in the car park.
  10. orinsurance is covered on your own policy, lots of guys think theres wont cover an accident on the ring but they do! Its actually classed as a closed toll road, so no probs. As for risking the car, sure, its quite dangerous but no matter how fast you are, or whatever car you have, theres always someone faster and in a more expensive car. ive never seen as many 911s in 1 place before!! a great trip.
  11. Hi guys, I'm Damo from Ireland and I've picked up an 08 ISF last month. Love this car and coming from an RX400 h, I knew the isf would be bomb proof reliability wise. The performance is superb, I'm just back from the Nurburgring too, which was savage in the car. There's only 3 ISFs in Ireland I'm told, so it's a pretty rare car! I'll stick up some pics too, if that's ok. Thanks guys, Damo.
