  1. Hi lads, I'm the proud owner of an ISF and my brother is looking at buying a GS450h. He's wondering what sort of mpg he can expect from a GS, I had an RX400h before the ISF and it returned around 28-30 mph. I should say he's looking at an 08 GS, hopefully with the nav and mark Levinson system fitted. Cheers guys, Damo.
  2. Ah yeah it's epic around the ring, that's a mate in his Ferrari 575 and the photo is taken at the Karosell which is over 18kms into a lap, so to hold him off for that long wasn't bad going! He did take me on the main straight, but I said I let him through!
  3. Here's mine! Posted these before too, but what the hell. Mostly taken on trips to the Ring, love the one outside the BMW test centre. Met a test driver there, he asked was the ISF mine, I said "yep, and I made it over on one gearbox and diff too", he saw the funny side in fairness to him!
  4. There's 6 in Ireland, I've seen 5 of those including mine in the flesh. The odd one out belongs to a member here and It's slate grey, he lives 150 miles away so it's unlikely I'll see it around.
  5. Hi Guys, I'm thinking of getting a rear diffuser for the F similar to the one in the pic. I can't find anywhere that sells them and wondering if you fellas can help! What do you think of it? Have to say I like it and think it adds real presence. If I get one ill probably wrap the roof in matte black too, just to be different. Any help on the diffuser would be great, Cheers, Damo.
  6. Love the new GS in F trim. How do you find the MPG, is it as good as they say?? I can see myself in one in a couple of years and I'd have no problem changing the ISF for one either, best of luck with it.
  7. That's great value, I've priced pads inIreland and there an eye watering 540 euro just for the front!! That's pads only. I think I'll have to invest in these, lets know when they arrive if they look anything like Lexus discs. I fitted yellow stuff pads last year, 2track days and a trip to the ring with 12 laps thrown in plus 17k miles and they seem fine, about 30% left, but at the price you say, you'd have to take a chance! Cheers for the heads up.
  8. This £171, is that for one disc and two pads?, hardly for a set of fronts. I might take a set of fronts at that price you cant go wrong!
  9. Sorry guys, it's a 1:43 scale. I've a Cayman S model the same size and its written on that. (Bloody Germans). The Cayman model is made by schuco, maybe they also do an ISF??
  10. Not sure what scale mine is, its not written on the box or case anywhere! Ill try post a pic!
  11. Ok, it says "hpi:racing" on the base of the model frame, I havnt taken it out of the display case. hope this helps!!
  12. I have one at home, Lexus Ireland sent it to me when they saw I bought an ISF. Im friends with them on facebook and they were dead impressed.. I"ll check the box to see if theres any manufacturers name or info. on it. Its a black model and is super cool.
  13. It also blips the throttle when you change down from just below 5000 rpm. A good guide is to change up at 6000 rpm, and as I said, down at 5000 rpm. This gives a fantastic burst of revs as the car matches the engine speed to the car speed, and leaves you free to brake too. Love that colour, by the way!
  14. Always keep a copy of SENNA in the glove box, just for the long shopping trips!
  15. Hay guys, anyone any idea where I can get touch up paint for the alloys on the ISF. Mine are a little Scatched and I'd like to touch them up if I can!
  16. best of luck with it, takes a bit of getting used to if you havnt had this sort of power before!
  17. That's fantastic, I'll visit the offending roundabout during the week with the windows down(dont have a sunroof) and see what happens!
  18. Looks very well! That colour is fantastic, really looks great with the wheel colour. It really looks immaculate, I'm getting around 27-28MPG if I do more than around 20 miles and keep under 70mph which is great for this engine. God bless the eight cog on the 'box!! I've read on another forum that 85mph is the most fuel efficient speed to drive at. Not sure how true it is, bit I'm at 2100 rpm at this speed. Maybe it's time for a frugal fuel competition! Or would you guys rather a lowest fuel MPG comp?? Had a bit of a fright yesterday in the car. I was taking the third exit on a large roundabout near where I leave and decided to put the power on a little earlier than I should, the back stepped out which I corrected, but I think I hit a small oil patch and the car continued to slide. At this stage I now had full opposite lock on and the traction is beeping away, then the fright, the seat belt pulled me hard into the seat and then released me as soon as the car came to a stop!! A quick read of the manual revealed anti collision is fitted to my car, I'm not sure if it's an option, but it's very impressive when it's used. Didn't hit anything or face the wrong way after the event, but find myself teasing the throttle to make it happen again!
  19. Holy crap that's bad! I can't answer any of your questions but i have to ask was there any warning from the screen?? Can you use the heater controls, the phone etc. can't believe LEXUS don't want to help. Never heard of that before.
  20. It ejects from below the CD slot. Theres a plastic clear panel below the CD slot with a hole in either side of it. If you go into the Nav menu on the display and press eject CD it will come out. You MUST remove this plastic panel first, otherwise the disc will break it when it ejects. If you need a full procedure list, just ask and I'll take the manual out and get typing!!!
  21. I replaced my pads all round with EBC yellows, there very good around town and ive done a few track days on them also and found them very good on the track. There's no more dust from them than I'd expect, roughly on a par with the brembos that came on the car. LEXUS Ireland wanted €950 for the pads alone!! God bless these forums.
  22. Hay Guys, just back from another trip to the Ring and spotted this LFA in the car park. This is a super looking thing in the flesh and it overtook me in a hired Suzuki Swift race car with its air brake up! The noise from it is super. I flew over this time so no ISF for the track, hence the Swift. Oh, thats my little girl Sarah in the pics, she loved the ring and is eager to get back ASAP!
  23. Thanks for that, I think my Boxster S had this click throttle too!
