  1. I received mine yesterday and am very happy with the exhaust and would like to thank Alex for all the help. I fitted it today and i've only just stopped smiling, driving through multi story carparks has been entertaining! What a noise! If anyone isnt sure whether or not to get one i'd reccomend you do now or you'll regret it when everyone posts how great they are! Another happy customer! :D :D :D Cheers Alex
  2. My gear knob has scratches on so I was thinking about getting a new one, my question is, are they all the same? I was looking at some toyota ones (see here) and wanted to double check they would fit, I presume they would? I liek a lot of the Momo ones too The other question is would sideskirts made for the IS300 fit the IS200? I know there are problems with the rear bumpers but as far as I know The sides should be ok. Right? or wrong? Thanks guys
  3. yea, mine are pretty tight even are I lubed them up!!! ;) I tried two backstreet garages and one can do it tomorrow and the other one was booked up for weeks, guess i'll have to wait until tomorrow
  4. Hi My HKS Hiper arrived this morning boxed and in perfect condition (thanks Alex) now I have to fit it, how easy is this to do? I had a quick look under the car as best i could and it looks like theres only a couple of bolts with spring things? they look pretty well 'rusted' together! is it just a case of oiling these and hoping I can undo them and then doing a straight swap? Any tips? I'll let you know what I think of it when its fitted but it loks really good! One more question, where have people put the sticker (if you put it on)
  5. i know the interior attracts dust a whole lot. My bother had his done and I think thats pretty much the general opinion.
  6. ok well i left them standard (due to the fact that the whole operation didnt go too well when they were put back together!) so, I want to buy some new headlights and get them sprayed, so, if anyone has any spare PM me with prices! If i do spray them white i think it would look better without the eyebrows
  7. like this if you dont know what i mean Painted Lights
  8. Hi, I am curently in the process of removing the orange bit from my lights and now they are separated i'm wondering if i should get the silver part sprayed or not? I was thinking that black might look nice due to the wheels and tints but didnt know if it would look crap, so basically help! (You can view my car by clicking on my signature to my garage)
  9. yea thats where mine came from, did they send you the blue bulbs too?
  10. ok well i received the bulbs and they seem to have sent me some free w5w philips bluevision bulbs too, these wont fit on my car though will they?
  11. oh and i see you're in Devon too, the reception is generally pretty good by the way.
  12. and the seller is actually a member on here, I got my aerial from him and i'm happy with it. Send a PM to AltezzaScott
  13. Is that supposed to be in this thread? what does that have to do with black chrome emblems or am i missing something?
  14. i bought some Philips Silver Vision bulbs for my car but the guy at the store was saying that I would have to file off one of the pins on the bulb or something??? Does this sound right? he was talking about offsets and whatever else but i've been assured they will work it has this on the packet, has anyoen else had to do this to their bulbs? Fully interchangable with standard PY21W bulb. Complies with ECE regulations and is fully road legal. Base: BAU15,s
  15. thanks, i see demon tweeks has them too. I'm going to try the local motorspares shops to see if they have them so I can do them today. I'm bored!
  16. I've been planning to get rid of that nasty orange strip for a while and so I was going to order some bulbs, I went to the silvervision website from this thread http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...10950&hl=orange The problem is that the online ordering doesnt seem to be working and also its hard to read the text, so, does anyone know of any websites where they sell the chrome bulbs that flash orange? Thanks Colin
  17. Hi, I currently have Nankang??? tyres on my car which are pretty crap (they came with the car) so, this morning I went outside to see I had a flat tyre. I'm about to put my spare on which is a Michelin Pilot Sport and so i was going to replace the flat Nankang for another Michelin... Basically, Can anyone reccomend a cheap tyre place in the south west/east? The cheapest I have found so far is about £120, havent called any dealers yet it was at www.mytyres.co.uk Thanks in advance!
  18. i have 2 years no claims by the way, its worth a call I suppose i'll get the number if you want to try
  19. I used to have a Renault Clio 172 and was insured through Renault, now i'm 23 and still insured through renault insurance and paying £650 fully comp for the Lex.
  20. my car has nankangs on at the moment and i can confirm how crap they are (i bought the car with nankangs all round - lucky me!) I think the spare is a michelin pilot or something though.
  21. yea, his face looks fat there or something, i presonnally dont think it was him. If it was him i think there would be more/some security/bodyguards present Anyway,
  22. yea, i'd certainly reccomend it. It covered all the corrosion and scuffs that were on the car already plus its cheap and easy to do so if I ever scrape a kerb it can be easily disguised. Having said that, I wouldnt have done it if my wheels were in good condition. But, the outcome looks good, need to lower it now and the exhaust needs to arrive!!!
  23. thats cuz I did it myself! Basically the wheels were really badly corroded and made the car look bad so i went to Focus and bout some spray paint for metal (similar to the caliper hamerite stuff, needed 2 cans at about £8 a time) and as it turned out they looked pretty good. I was going to get them refurbished but i'm going to get new wheels in the summer so i didnt want to waste it on that, instead I bought some springs! Got to fit them sometime!
