  1. I want some mats but if they are £85 wouldnt it work out cheaper to go to a dealer and use gold discount which would make it about £72? (my car is pre 2001 by the way) I dont understand, someone please explain!
  2. it also says there is a pheen number so someone who knows the exact cost details to be labelled etc could call them and see what they say. Customs and Excise advice service on 0845 0109000
  3. after a quick search on the internet it seems that it could work out to be pretty expensive. Customs
  4. I was looking for an IS Sport in either black or granite grey with under 50,000 for quite a while. Found a couple but they had been sold within a day of advertising. In the end i got a 99 IS200 SE, White with FLSH 32,000 miles for £11,495 and one year warranty! I was and still am pretty pleased with that. Have you considered an Altezza?
  5. sounds good to me, so you would get them then send them on to us? would we have to pay extra for the second leg of the shipping or is it included in the total price? Also, how would customs be sorted out? A final price would be good but i'm still interested (that Apexi exhaust does look nice though!)
  6. I really cant stand Novas and never really understood whats going on in their heads when you see battered old Novas with alloy wheels and a sub in them. Oh, not forgetting the illuminated washer jets!
  7. sorry to go a bit if anyone has a spare rear pasenger side mudflap i'd be interested!
  8. not yet, probably wont decide until...... the weekend. More research needed! Trying to see what i can get my friend from america to bring me seeing as things are SO much cheaper there
  9. I did try calling my nearest Lexus dealer which is about 45 minutes drive and they said they'd have to see it so i'm probably just going to take it to this other place. Been going there for about 5 years now for MOT's and stuff and have always been happy with the work, I suppose at the end of the day £150 for some bodywork isnt that bad. Could have been worse!
  10. It was my mum, with the Lexus, in the driveway! Just like Cluedo......anyway...... First of all, I dont have access to a digital camera but basically my car has a few scrapes on it. There are about 5 in total, on the passenger side just behind the rear wheel. The worst one is really deep (right down to the metal, it also has a pretty big groove - its deep! and is approx. 7 inches long) this scratch is just above where the rear bumber connects to the wheel arch. Its also messed up the rear mud flap but i'm not so bothered about that. The other scratches are below this but actually on the bumper and are not deep atall, it seems to have just taken the paint off. Took it to a bodyshop which i've been before and was impressed with the work and he said he'd do it for £150, although its hard to say without seeing it does this sound like a good price? he said it was a 3 stage pearl and thats why it would cost more (Riviera White, paint code 051 i think?) I'm waiting for my eyelids to come so hopefully i can get them sprayed at the same time. Its booked in for the 17th December.
  11. Hi, a couple of questions that have probably been answered a million times already but i couldnt find them! ok so, would 7"components go straight in the front door? (i know i'd have to make or buy a speaker adapter as the standard speakers are stuck to it and you have to ruin the speaker) but would i have to do any drilling or cutting? I suppose i would if i had to but i just wanted to know what to look forward to. Also, if i bought a headunit from america would it work over here? i'm presuming it would with an FM expander - not that i really listen to radio though. Also on an american website i saw a car stereo wiring harness for the IS300, would this work for the IS200? Obviously i'd be installing another amp, sub, headunit etc so i'd have to wire the car up anyway so do i really need this as i wouldnt be using any of the standard speakers and the new speakers would be powered by the new amp? I was thinking about getting the "Audiobahn ABC6003Q Component Speaker System 7" / 4" 3-Way • Carbon Honeycomb Cone • Silk Dome Tweeter • 18 dB / Octave Crossover " and either an Audiobahn sub or Kicker sub. Never had any Audiobahn products before, only Kicker and Pioneer. Anyone got any advice? Thanks, hope this makes sense? Colin
  12. I have a few questions, according to need for speed they have Apex, H & R and also PI springs for the IS200, it says they all lower the car by 35mm but above the post has 25 for some. Does anyone know which one is true as the Apex springs are only £87.13 excluding Gold discount. I'm presuming there cant really be that much difference between the ride quality of the spings?
  13. Renault Insurance Me, 6 Points (off my licence but still within 5 years( Age: 23 2 Years no claims Parked on driveway £602.00
  14. Someone thinking about Hondas? Should that be Tint R?
  15. Anywhere in the south is good for me!
  16. Yea, a sound file of each would be good, i want something pretty loud but not exceptionally loud. Any advice? Would the Drager be loud enough? Either way, i def. want one
  17. Go and buy medal of honour on the PS2, its possibly the best game ever made! Well, other than Championship Manager and Pro Evolution Soccer I have Splinter Cell but lost patience with it ages ago, maybe on one of these rainy days i'll carry on, then again probably not. Goodluck anyway!
  18. I definately want a Hiper, money is ready and waiting, hopefully we can get a few more people and organise shipping.
  19. I got mine two weeks ago and i cant stop going to the petrol station!
  20. ok, its definately the sensor, if you move the little pin (behind the rubber) everything comes on but every time i shut the door and open it it doesnt come on. So, presumably theres something loose there somewhere, i'll need a new sensor anyway under the warranty, oh, unscrewed it but it was really tight to pull out so i didnt disconnect it as i would have lost the wire for sure. The garage can do it anyway! Thanks for your help Colin
  21. ok i checked and now the light on the door never comes on and neither does the light on the dashboard to say the drivers door is open (everything on the passenger door works) so presumably it would be the door sensor then? Are these easy to replace?
  22. haha ok Steve i'll let you know when i get it fixed. yea Loz it does have the auto lighting but i was just wondering if anyone knew why it wasnt working, its not really that important but its just a bit annoying, i changed the door speakers today and looked at the wiring for light on the door and it seems to be ok but i'll take it to the garage and let them replace some stuff under the warranty! Colin, as for the dashboard light being random - i'm not sure i havent really paid that much attention but when i go out next i'll look and open the door a few times to see how consistant it is
  23. yes, when you open the door the red light comes on showing that a door is open dont know if this is anything to do with it but the red light actually that is actually on the door (when you open the door it comes on) doesnt always work either. Sometimes it works, somtimes it doesnt. Passenger side always works but driver side seems a bit random.
