Hi The Wifes 2001/51 RX300 SE NAV is having the alrm go off about three times per week for absolutely no reason. Is there anyway the sensitivty can be adjusted? Any ideas would be most apreciated. Thanks

Steve, I have exactly the same problem with my Mk1 RX300. There seams to be no logic or reason why it happens. Is there a sensitivity adjustment i wonder because i have to say the alarm is sensite, for example try to open the tail gate without switching the alrm off firts and off it goes. Hi I have recently purchased a RX300 se Mk1 2001/51 80,000 miles and i am very very pleased with it. I was expecting slightly better MPG than the trip computer is giving. The computer is suggesting an around town average of 16-17 MPG is this correct? Can this be improved in anyway without modifying driving style which i think is "normal" anyway? I have always put slick 50 into every engine i have ever had and plan to do it to the RX as well. Do you think it bennefits? Also the transmission seems to be quite "whiney" but seems to drive prfect without any slip, is this normal? Many thanks for your time.

Hi Guys, I have just traded my 2001/51 IS200 Sport Nav with 77K miles for a 2001/51 RX300 NAV that has 80K but is beutiful and looks like it has lived on the motorway. I have had to pay £6K to change but we feel that the RX is an upgrade in car if not any newer. I have a few questions that i would be delighted if you can help us with please: 1. Gold Rear Windows - Is it possible that they could be tinted down to black? 2. How much worse than the quite thirsty IS200 will the RX be? 3. Can i get car mats at a reasonable price? 4. What traits does the car have and what should i look out for? 5. Any other advise or tips please? I look forward to your comments, advise etc. Many thanks, Darron

Hi, My IS200 sport is to have its first MOT this week and Lexus Birmingham have quoted £43 which i think is reasonable. At the same time i am due an 80K service and for that they want just over £400 including parts, labour and vat. Is this correct? Cheers.
