  2. With regards to whether a cracked lense is an M.o.T failure, it depends on the severity. The book says that the light must not show white light to the rear, even then depending on how bad the crack is, you could go to Halfords or such like and buy Lense repair tape which basically looks like coloured sellotape. As a tester, this is what I suggest for small cracks and it is the cheapest option rather than buying whole lamp clusters!
  3. Are you talking about the trc light that is in the middle of the speedo? When its slippy and traction is being lost this flashes. However, I did have trouble where is would come on just as I set off and would not go out. It may seem like a silly suggestion but, with the ignition switched off, pump the brake pedal up and down for 10 times. I was told this by my local Jap import dealer (mines a 1990 celsior) and the light went out and hasnt been on again since. Maybe coincidence, but it worked!
  4. Try wd40 on the front stabilizer bar bushes(the ones that go at an angle to the front) mine squeaked from there. They eventually split, and clonked instead!
  5. Have you checked the fuse box under drivers side? This is a problem I had with my 1990 model and I found fuse blown.
  6. I had same problem! everything electric shut down and it turned out to be mainly fuses. Although my gear select light and TEMS compressors still dont work The central locking on mine only opened car but didn't lock. I was told that it was a contact in the door lock its self. Try that.
  7. Ok, I am slowly but surely getting my electrical probs ironed out, but I still have a couple. The gear-select does not light up (poss bulb but how do I change?) and my TEMS seems to have gone to wall. Compressors dont apear to work and on the dash whe i have a ride level light, it is flashing ' NORMAL'. Any ideas? The car is a 1990 Jap spec LS400 Celsior if it helps!!
