Yay! Finally got new computer! Damn Ive missed you guys!!!! Ok, as some of you may or may not know, I picked up a 1993 LS off of ebay wit 325000 miles a couple of months back, its going lovely, but I the keys I got with it are 'cut' keys, no problem with that except that I fancied getting a set of remote keys for it and wondered if anyone knew how Id go about it and roughly how much they cost???? :P

Ive had, a MK2 Capri, 3 MK2 Escorts , 4 MK4 Cortinas, 2 MK5 Cortinas (in keeping with the Essex Boy in me) 3 Rover SD1 2600s, a Rover 820 (never again! no sucessor to the SD1!!!) Rover Metro GTi, Ford Corsair and finally my Merc %00 SEc which I still have!

the 1993 LS I picked up has 325000. Was used by chauffeur firm!

My '93 uses the R143a, if that helps. The garage where I work are able to do R12 regasses because there is a substitute gas that is available which isnt harmful :D

Got independant garage to M.o.T car, dont like doing my own ( police dont seem to like it either!), and all it needs is four tyres! Hurrah!

Hurrah Just been to Tring and picked up my 93' LS I bought off Ebay, 325oo and over heating prob, but hey, £455 Im not complaining, all balljoints been replaced, a service book full of stamps, Im a happy chappie! Most people pick up sick animals, I pick up sick LS's sad I know but can't help myself hahaha Overheating seems to be from fan fluid not being filled so even more chuffed!!!!

Im 28, got my first LS I was 26. Its a 1990 import, just bought '93 LS to keep it company. Hurrah!

Ive got a 1990 import and have a filter in the boot under the rear screen parcel shelf. I was told that this is a pollen filter. The Autodata book we have at work seems to suggest this is a location for pollen filter, sound silly I know but not sure what else it could be!

Mines done the same. I havent got a master key for mine. any idea how I go about getting one and how much?

My car is a 1990 Jap import. Says Lexus LS400 acrross the back, but mats say Celsior on them. Does that help?

As many people probably now know, I am im process of modding my LS, having hydraulics and mild body kit fitted. What wheels would look best? Who should I pay a visit to? any help GREATLY appreciated coz the original Celsior wheels are gonna look sooooooooo outta place otherwise!!!!

My very friendly bank manager has agreed to give me some money, so my mods should be going ahead very very soon. However, before I make that long journey up north for the hydraulics, I need front and rear pads and front stabilizer bar bushes. Anyone know the best places to get these from? Also, I'm looking for an original radio (preferably with the tv, as thats what mine had originally) beacuse i have a nice Sony unit, butI cant seem to get a surround and it wont link to my Pioneer multi changer in the boot ( unless anyone knows a way of doin it?). Im in process of subtley customizing my LS. Having custom made kit fitted, nothing extravagant, just a mild kit. Hydraulics are being fitted hopefully end of June, after all haven't got a wife so don't need bootspace! Some of the kits do go too far, but done right, the LS can look beautiful, when done i shall post pics and see what y'all think. Im evenhaving flame kit fitted to both exhausts! Hahaha, Im 26 and did the boy racer thing years ago with my Escort MK2 and Astra GTE (Im an Essex boy, it had to be done!) Now Ive calmed but a little of me still wants to show the Baseball Cap brigade how to do it with class, so Southend cruise, I will be there bouncing away! Yay!

Ahh this switch in the trunk you talk of, is it in the left hand side in the tool compartment space? i have a ON OFF switch there and am trying to work out what it is!

Found filter which I assume to be pollen filter in the boot. Right hand side under screen behind cover! Hurrah!

My Import has got a auto air purify switch, so I am wondering if somewhere that there is a pollen filter? If so, where? Its a 1990 LS.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! After months of my car rubbing on arches ( looked the dogs, but no suspension action!) My air suspension has decided to come back to life. I dont know how or why but I am not complaining!! In desperation with my shox problem, I contacted Lexus UK to see if they could help. They gave me the addresses of the following sites. Can anyone tell me if there is a fuse box somewhere in the boot on the LS? I found the one in the drivers footwell and the one under the bonnet, but I was told that there was also one in the boot somewhere. Ive had a look but an damned if I can find one! Being a 1990 Jap inport maybe I haven't got one! Also, in the boot, on the left hand side, there is a tool storage part ( for spanners etc0 and there is an ON/OFF switch in there, there is an explanation label, but being in Japanese, I have no indea what its for!!!! I would love to swop, only my drivers seat I think is broken. They work ok, just that when u put seat back, it clonks so I think it may have gone like previos posts say.

Would seats from a '98 model fit in my '90 model? be great if they would!

Quick question(s) 1) I want to change my velour seats for leather and what I want to know is whether it is just a case of straight swap? 2) Anyone know where I can find the relay (if any) for the air susp on my import. Car is rubbing on arches virtually now so just want to try simplest solutions before resulting in Lexus dealer! Cheers!
