  1. Hi guy's just a quick update 5 other cars were vandalized the same night in the same style up my road obviously I was optimistic in the one brain cell
  2. Thanks for all your comments I just do not understand this mentality
  3. Morning everybody I have been the proud owner of my ls 460 for 16 months, this morning I came out to find that scum had decided to engage there brain cell and "key" the whole of the passager side of my mint car.Words fail me all I can say is that i am glad that I didn't catch them
  4. Hello shiner I am the owner of 2007 ls 460 silver with 29k. There are a lot's of toy's enough to keep anybody happy, the ride is exquisite (i'm sure the 400 and 430 boy's will disagree)the engine and gearbox are phenomenal. The downside's are 17mpg around town and £500 a year road tax but I find this a small price to pay for alot of car
  5. Apparently I'm an identical match apart from the intelligent spark in my doppelganger's eyes
  6. Well gust got off the phone with Lexus and they have told me to buy and install a New tyre pressure monitor will cost £135+v.a.t. What I find disgusting is that I can find the part for £40 so I'm being charged well over £100 pounds to fit and initialize (via Ecu)this part. Can't say that my first dealings with Lexus fill me with confidence.
  7. Hi everybody to cut a long story short I managed to rip out one of my tyre valves damaging the pressure transmitter and deflating the tyre.As I understand it they are about £100 plus to replace,is there anywhere else to get another transmitter fitted and registered or does it have to be lexus, thanks for your input
  8. Not sure if this is gust my car or if it is the general finish Lexus use, but when I wash it it's basically clean after a quick jet wash.Being the second owner I don't know if It had some form of treatment from new, whatever it is it works
  9. At the weekend I unfortunately had to work, my job is working on 6 to 15 ton furnaces which we empty out at anywhere from 1300-1700 degrees. Lukily enough the air conditioning in my ls460 is ice cold and the air conditioning through the seats is unbelievable, swmbo came out to me twice on Sunday because I wouldn't get out of the car until I was a ice cube
  10. I have owned my 57 plate ls 460 for 9 months and will never sell it,on a direct comparison to mercs, bmw's and jag's there isn't one. I know a lot of people on here love the 400 and 430 (which I have never driven or been in)so we love the same car but different styles.I have owned and driven BM's and mercs and they are extremely overrated,I also like the exclusivity of my Lexus in 9 months I haven't seen another one.
  11. Hi everybody, personally any car I buy will have the lowest possible mileage I can get,I would only buy the car with the spec I wanted so I didn't have to spend money afterwards. In my mind the lower the mileage the lower the wear and the less damage the previous owner may have done (f.s.h or not),my ls has only 21000 miles with 6 stamps which to me on a prestigious car like this is only gust broken in. The reliability and engineering that goes with these cars is legendary but for me as a personal preference lower is better
  12. Looks really good for that mileage you obviously look after her really well ,are the alloys 19's
  13. Hi graham very nice your interior is identical to mine, very opulent I can't stop smiling to myself every time I get in. Mines only got 22k what about yours if looks are anything to go by yours is about the same or less
  14. Nice to see another 460 owner looks like a really clean example. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine
  15. Spent 3 and a half hours cleaning the car today the amount of tar on the bodywork was unbelievable. My wife says there is definitely something wrong with somebody who spends this amount of time in this weather cleaning a car,but then says in the same breath if you get 5 mins when your finished can you do mine. I was hoping to get to the meet that is being organised but unfortunately shift work has it's pitfalls,I will keep my eyes open for future dates.
  16. Thanks for the reply's I was hoping to get to the meet on the 5th unfortunately I'm working. I will have to keep an eye out for future dates
  17. Thanks for the replies a bit worried that if I re-varnish it it won't be the same colour as the rest of the wood. I certainly won't be buying a new one for £400 pound i obviously missed the gold stitching
  18. Hi everybody I have been trying to find a direct replacement for my ls 460 gear knob as the wood or varnish has worn slightly, but on every site I've been on all they have is boy racer rubbish. Does anybody know of a stockist and price other than Lexus
  19. Well it would appear that ls 460 is a rare beast indeed,I have had my eyes peeled looking for fellow 400 drivers and I have not seen one 400,430 or 460. Loads of is models and even a gs 300(in gold with gold wheels blacked out Windows and halfords £4.00 exhaust tips why?) I live near enfield so I am quite suprised. I am still finding excuses to go for longer drives and even happier that I didn't buy a mercedes or bmw
  20. Well i drove to hayling Island for my stay in a warner hotel, but was looking forward to the drive in my 460 more than the actual holiday. I wasn't disappointed according to the trip computer my mpg was 29.7 which I'm more than happy with, considering I was on the odd occasion slightly over the speed limit. I also chose the longest route which I will be taking when I go back home. I put my foot down for the first time on the way here,I was doing about 55 wow as you can imagine my foot wasn't there long. I am still trying to find out about this other Lexus ls 460 that is a unengaging drive any help would be appreciated
  21. Hi everybody time for another question. I have been looking at updating the Sat nav disc as my one was current in 2007. Prices seem to vary from £35-£135 now is it a simple case of insert disc and job done or is it a job for the dealer
  22. That has definitely made my mind up for me.I will enjoy looking at them in there rightful place on the 600h.Thanks for the info
  23. Hi everybody This may be a previously asked question but here goes is it possible to put the headlights from a 600h into my 460.If so would anybody know the price of these units
