  1. OOOPPPS! yep it was the switch position! didn't even realise it was there, even asked the Lexus customer service if there was a "setting" for this.... they said" better bring it in ".....thanks for the assist, feel a right plonker!...hehehe...thing is it is a toggle switch so push once for on twice for off.
  2. Hi All, I've had my 2014 prem, a couple of month's now..... just realised that only the drivers window will operate! all other windows won't respond to either their own switch or the drivers door control switches.... anybody experienced similar? I know other Lexus models can reinitialise this function if , for instance, the battery is replaced, but don't think after 5,500 miles my battery would have been swapped..... it is booked into Lexus Sidcup for a good "looking at" this Friday, under warranty, but just curious.... Also is there any info available on where the fuses are and what circuits each fuse covers? Thanks Derek
  3. Just for info.... I have put my 16" wolfrace wheels with Dunlop tyres on ebay, I am staying with the 17" low profiles that are on my 14 reg (facelift).... seems a better ride now compared to the 2011 model... I hope I don't regret it!!. They were a comfortable ride!
  4. Picked the 2014 Premier up today.... yep the mirrors DO fold in, lovely car to drive, whereas I had a set of 16" wheels on my 2011 model, for comfort, this appears to have been improved in the facelift... also as mentioned by KDS a space saver spare..... good news! Only "problem" is the sat nav/ radio information book wasn't with the car, I know only a small point, but as the display has also been updated, the book would help.... contacting Lexus tomorrow. As the "knobs and dials" are facelifted too, will take a bit of getting used too, but at the moment well impressed
  5. Just changing my 2011 Premier for a 2014 Premier... so have noted the sat nav fixed position and also the mirrors stay out when exiting the car, whereas they folded in previously.... can be folded by switch, but, think the face lift is a bit retrograde from what I have seen so far.... will know more when I pick it up tomorrow. Hope I'm not disappointed!
  6. Just out of interest ... which dashcam have you got? have tried one previously ( A Dragonfly) and sent it back .... really bad quality. Looked at blackvue, a bit pricey, can't decide.... Derek
  7. Thanks for the info.... this looks a good way to install a dash cam hardwired, did you have to use a "special" tool to open the clips on the upper light console? Derek
  8. Thanks for the reply Steve, I guess I miss the service "countdown" mileage that I'm used to... regards Derek
  9. Hi All, had my CT 200 since May now.......I've done 9000 miles, odometer showing 22800, the last service was carried out (pre me) at 12800 miles, so should I assume services are every 10,000 miles as a message appears on start up telling me to contact service agent, also has a red flag and an oil warning BUT no oil light comes on when driving ( this all just started today).. Pity the hand book doesn't give details of these message alerts though. Will be booking it in on Monday, (Oil checked appears ok, if a little brownish.) All good fun eh! Derek
  10. Hi All, Well I've bitten the proverbial bullet and ordered a set of 16" wheels and a set of Dunlop Blu-sport tyres.... As with my luck they are out of stock, but should be in from Germany early January.... these are from Alloy Wheelbase in Manchester( I think). I did contact my insurers to ensure no problems and the very nice Bulldog said "Oh Yus, that's ok"(Churchill impersonation!) Also contacted Lexus Tunbridge Wells where I got the car from to confirm the warranty is still ok... Happy New Year and safe motoring Derek
  11. David thanks for reply... I had visions of interior rip out! Derek
  12. Thanks for the reply Seth, look forward to your review. Derek
  13. David, did you fit the cam recorder yourself or was it fitted for you? I'm interested where the cable picks up a supply. I did speak to local(ish) Lexus dealer but they don't fit anything "non standard". Haven't really looked into CT200 fuse situation and position yet, getting past pulling cars apart, especially my CT.... Derek
  14. thanks for the replies..... I do use a lambswool mitt, rinse off and use a chamois leather to dry. I reckon the Autoglym resin polish sounds good, does it come in colour matching "colours"? A trip to my local Halfords tomorrow who do Autoglym..... haven't tried T cut yet either, thought it may remove Diamondbrite finish.... there again doesn't seem to be very effective! once again lads, many thanks. Derek
  15. Hi, I have had my CT for 2 months now, she is a dark metallic grey, can't remember off hand exact name of colour but every day I seem to find a new hairline scratch appearing somewhere on the body...... now as far as I know I don't park anywhere with brambles, vandals or any other obvious means of scratching. Is the top coating of paintwork so thinly applied ? I did have the car diamond coat treated when I first purchased her, but still there are numerous marks! Does anyone have experience of treatments/ polishes that cover up scratches? maybe the showroom where I purchased the car did a good job of disguising them? regards Derek
