When I bought my 07 400 last year the salesman enthused about the fact it had a towbar. Although I could only see the electrics plug he said the towbar was a pull out one? Or something similar, tbh I wasn't paying much attention. Anyway the time has come to pull a trailer and I'm buggered if I can find the towbar :( I've looked underneath, in the boot bit with the tools, everywhere! Please tell me there's a special place lexus keep em and that mine isn't really missing :(

Who said I was looking for another 4x4?? I don't need 4 wheel drive and I don't own a caravan. Tbh, since I've owned this car I've come to realise how unnessasary it really is. Just a regular car will do me, and it'll save me around 100 quid a week on fuel, cheaper tax and probably better performance. Not rocket science

I've had my 400 for a year and I've never got better than 29. I'm getting shot of it. In this day and age 29 is unacceptable. I don't care how comfortable it is

I've noticed my 2007 400h has a tendency to sort of lurch forward when going downhill. Usually as I'm braking. It always happens in the same spot on certain roads. It's got to the stage where I'm actually anticipating it happening, and even though I know it's coming it can be quite unerving. I've done a search and found an old thread where the cause was thought to be a combination of gearbox and ecu fault. Anyone else had this problem?

The lack of reversing light makes this car dangerous, it also renders the reversing camera useless at night. I can't believe they made a car so good and then screwed up on something so simple.

I can understand official figures being exaggerated but the car lying to me as well? What is the world coming too?? To be honest I'd be happy if I was getting what the computer is telling me I'm getting but 18? I find that pretty hard to live with :( I think I'll take it back and get it checked over

I've had my 2007 rx400 for a couple of weeks now. I've managed to achieve 35.6 mpg on a run and according to the computer im averaging 27.4 around the houses. But, I'm beginning to wonder how accurate the computer figures actually are. I'm actually getting about 60 miles from £20 worth of juice, which in real terms is around 18 mpg. Which is shocking :( I'm not driving it fast or with a heavy right foot, in fact I've always got one eye on the mpg figures. It's a nice car but I don't think I'll be keeping it very long at this rate. I'm a bit disappointed really, I was under the impression the hybrid system helped the mpg figures ??

Yay :) I got my car today!! Recall work all done and I must say I'm very happy with it, apart from .......... A really annoying creaking sound coming from the passenger side dash area and a mysterious metal on metal type scrape/ grinding noise that only happens occasionally when braking whilst turning at low speed. The dash wasn't creaking when I test drove it, do you think they will have had it apart when doing the recall? As for the grinding its gotta be a brake issue, hasn't it?

I wish they'd get their fingers out! This GS isn't half thirsty in sport + mode :(

Yeah your right. When you look at what's going on elsewhere in the world it's not really a big deal. Frustrating but a few more weeks wont hurt.
