  1. Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a rear diffuser for the F similar to the one in the pic.

I can't find anywhere that sells them and wondering if you fellas can help!

What do you think of it? Have to say I like it and think it adds real presence. If I get one ill probably wrap the roof in matte black too, just to be different. Any help on the diffuser would be great,

    Cheers, Damo.

Looks awesome , try prolex uk or doin a search , u,ll find one .
  2. to be fair mine does change gear when i don't want it to, gentle throttle increase on a motorway for example and itll drop 8 to 6 which I'm sure is the most efficient but it doesn't feel right, as the driver i didn't want it to change gear. But that's what auto boxes do, i could always use it in manual. Over time one challenge is to learn how hard you can press the go pedal and not kickdown...

When I,m just taking it easy through towns etc it never goes above 2000 revs in all gears , just purrs along lol.much better than revvin the arse off a one litre heep lol

  3. All,

Well after nearly 5 years, I've decided to move on from the ISF. It has been the best all-round car I've ever owned, and that is shown in the length of time I've been with the car (typically 2 years normally for me).

I've been looking for a follow-up car for a while, and the killer factor in moving on (as I would have been happier to stay longer) was the need to get a cycle into the boot.

The new car (A45 AMG) now has a build date, so the cars been listed for sale. The next owner (who I am sure will visit here) will pick themselves up an excellent car.

Thanks to all those on the forum, as even though its a real niche group, it has provided valuable for capturing input. I will be around until the end of the year, but please make sure you all keep the ISF dream alive - I will be back!

    Cheers

    Chris

I don't know how you could part with such a gorgeous car mate , especially one that's been so good to you .there getting rare and they drive and sound soooo good .good luch though with your new car ,
  4. Hi everyone,

So I'm looking to replace my standard radio with an aftermarket, particularly one that has no removable faceplate. But something is holding me back. The security issue. Double dins without removable face parts are an invitation to thieves.

I am wondering if the oem radio Lex IS200 ('03) can be removed from the facsia so that it can be placed over the aftermarket one as a dummy.

Other than spending out more another stereo, updating security alarm system/s or buying the dummy fascia on ebay, which is obviously known to the car stereo thief what can I do to secure my stereo

    Thanks,

    Leon

The pioneer double din are awesome , avh something I can't remember which one I use to have , played dvd the lot , easy to bypass for playing dvd too , was around 350 I think but well worth it and didn't look nick able either .
  5. Don't forget people watch the program for outrageous comments especially by JC without which they wouldn't have a program, its not my cup of tea. I always record and end up watching about 10 mins the next day.

I have been an avid watcher of 5th Gear over the years, mainly for VBH but find I am doing the same with that, it seems all they want to do is wreck a set of tyres and quite frankly you see one car smoking its tyres you've seen them all.

Yeh bring back 5th gear , brill that was ,much better than top gear . Everything is always referred to as bein on a track , I haven't got a track for my isf just normal roads . It's mental that programme asif people go into a dealership to spend a fortune and say is it good on a track ha
  6. The video clip is not working on the top gear website, anyone have a link to an another source?

The written review on their website seems favourable given they are usually quite critical. Not that I'm really bothered; I think mine's awesome and frankly that's all I care about!

Yeh yours certainly looks awesome on your pic mate
  7. A while ago I was watching clarkson driving the isf on a normal road as such and he was critisizing how the isf was constantly changing gears up and down in auto mode , saying it was annoying , what a total turd he is , mine doesn't sound annoying in any way , it's brill and smooth you hardly feel the changes , why say such a stupid thing about a great car , what's your opinions on this .
