It's had an underrun front and rear from new. I think it was called the "lifestyle" pack or similar.
I'll look out for Tuf Shine and give it a go. Something that lasts from wash to wash appeals, thanks for that.

You've been conspicuous by your absence.

Very nice
I suppose the profile pic needs updating? Im being picky but maybe a tyre dressing would give you that extra pop that you're looking for?
Do you know Rayaan, I was convinced that I had changed my profile pic. I remember uploading it, must have omitted to save. Well spotted anyway, the earlier one didn't have roof rails, did you spot that ?
Yes, good point about the tyre dressing, something I've never used, probably would if I was selling it. Cars don't stay looking like that for long around here, too much tractor tyre debris on the roads 🚜

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen.
Haha....no papal election John. Mrs LZ was chilly so she elected to put the CH on !

The surface of my paint was rough. I used a clay cloth and lubricant and was surprised how easy it was to do. I put a wax on it afterwards and this is the result : (she's 6 years old in 5 days time)

And come on, who else out there has done that one way train ticket thing where so long as the car isn't presented to you in a cardboard box then you're driving the damn thing home? I have. More than once
Bought my last seven cars like that. Four Saabs and Three Lexus.

Bring back Chris Goffey and WIlliam Wollard lol *old age alert*
It was about cars then, used to really enjoy it. Vividly remember the glass of water on the engine !
It's become an entertainment programme for Sun readers with a central theme based around cars. Nothing to do with cars any more.

Do a full tank to full tank manual calculation. It may be the electronics playing up.

That's when they roll up into a prickly ball.

IIRC there is a button below the steering wheel to the right where you can select Trip A/Trip B/Odo. May be incorrect, long time since I've used it.

It's probably to do with the cooler temperatures. My RX drops from 35mpg in the summer to 30mpg ish in the winter.

i knew a chap who was downsizing as his wife didn't like driving larger cars - I did the works on his hybrid battery & she was in beautiful shape.

Google "Cross Tyres & Auto". They're in Crosshands about 60 miles from Cardiff. I've known Stuart a long time, don't expect a price like mine, but he'll slaughter the Lexus price I'm certain. Let us know how you get on.

Haven't a clue of the make and model, not on the paperwork either. I just dropped it off in the morning and Stuart called me to collect later in the day. Didn't have to re-set anything, as Herbs said they must have connected another 12v while they switched the batteries.

Great idea. I remember my Dad's cars having this control on the floor. I always have my left foot on the rest pedal, would be easy to incorporate a dip-switch on this.

Many others will not have seen the previous post too, myself included. That's very interesting Stan, thanks for posting.

Welcome John. Excellent choice of motor ! I don't envisage you having any problems.
Had mine nearly two years now and its use has been 5 miles to and from work for 5 days with a fortnightly 40 miles round trip for a supermarket shop. Other than that, 3 or 4 longer trips each year visiting relatives. It hasn't missed a beat ! I too have a poorly back and I wouldn't drive anything else now. Enjoy your RX.

And the registration plate adds 23 years

I've only managed 7K miles from the Avons before changing them
That's why they're less expensive than the Pirellis.

I put four Pirelli Scorpion Verde on mine last February. No complaints, although to be honest they've not really been tested yet ! Very quiet though.

I think it's the salt. Don't they use it on the roads in Japan?
I'm pretty sure they don't. I bought an import Mitsubishi Pajero (Shogun) about 10 years ago, it was 12 years old then ! The underside was painted blue just as it had left the factory. Think that's why some of the Jap imports are popular.

All season Tyres Recommendation for RX450h 2016
in RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club

I'm very happy with my Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season tyres.....not sure if they do 20" though....mine are 19". They're very quiet and grip well in the wet, no experience of ice and snow.
