  1. I think it is just the leather on leather where the armrest sits in the recess that makes the squeek.
  2. Exactly what I do, good to know it's not just my car :)
  3. Bought the car in December, had new drivers side mirror (wouldn't fold in), new washer jet and new rear windscreen as two heating elements were not working.
  4. Thanks John, that's great just what I need. :) Just got to pluck up courage to take the car to bits now
  5. I have just checked my 400h and can confirm that the lettering is illuminated when the lights are on. I imagine it is illuminated by a single bulb as I have a small mark/scratch on the panel and this lights up too! Unfortunately I can't help with how the bulb is accessed.
  6. Hi Colin Brilliant, thanks – works fine now. :) Patience never was my strongest virtue !
  7. As a recent new owner of a 57 plate 400h I am slowly getting used to it. The rear power door works fine from either the internal button or the one on the door but not from the key fob. According to the manual this is something that can be changed but it doesn't seem to say how. Is it a dealer job or is there a way of activating it myself? Cheers Andy
  8. Morning All, Thanks for the welcomes. Collected the RX400 (57 plate) yesterday afternoon and although havn't had chance to use or play with it much am very happy so far. Need to spend some time working out the sat nav and phone connectivity etc. but I'll get there eventually! I'll have to try and get a sat nav update disk but have read a post on here somewhere about buying them on e-bay from Germany which seems a better option than paying Lexus prices. Leaning towards the additional warranty for peace of mind and will also do the service plan. Been offered a three year full service option (no MOTs but includes battery chech I think) for about £33 a month or the two year "Essentials" one for about £25 a month which includes the MOTs but no battery check.
  9. Thanks for the welcome Matt, do you prefer the Lexus? Cheers Andy
  10. Afternoon All, Recently started reading the forum as collecting a new (to me) RX400h tomorrow. First time of owning a hybrid so expecting it to take some getting used to. Shall miss the Jag S Type that I've had for the past 7 years but looking forward to trying something different. Buying from a main dealer so need to make my mind up about extending the 12 month warranty which comes with it and maybe signing up for a three year service plan. Don't think I'll bother with the wheel and tyre insurance as I havn't had a serious puncture or kerbed an alloy for years - now I've said that I'll probably do both on the first day! Cheers, Andy
