I bought this on ebay in 2011. I also bought it outside normal 'auction procedure' thats how I got it, instead of bidding 10 or 20 quid above the last bidder I bid the max I decided to pay for it (appx 150 quid above the last bidder) in thefinal seconds of the auction, that threw aother bidders into maybe 'thinking' about it.....to late auction over, great LS400 was my result but outside "normal auction procedure", I was there to win the car not be crowned king of the looser. I wasn't allowed to be the looser the purchase was made direct before the auction end. Should the auction taken full course the said seller would in my opinion be at least £500.00 better off, as my top bid was some £500 more than he sold the car for outside of the auction. I certainly wasn't entering into a bidding war owners just love that. As i said good luck to OldBaz i won't have to wait long to see it for sale again. Like this

I was not saying OldBaz is a motor trader of any sort, all i was saying is he had purchased a nice used Lexus, that i'm sure was being bid on and being watched by many of us Lexus enthusiasts. All be it outside the normal auction procedure. OldBaz has sold and bought many LS430 LS400 over the last few years, i would say an enthusiast not a trader. But yes he certainly has had a few. My only gripe was i was about to view the vehicle and was looking forward to seeing the auction out with my money in my pocket. But good luck to him he got the car and i keep searching.

He certainly moves in mysterious ways does OldBaz. I was recently bidding on a nice LS400 local to me and in communication with the seller with an appointment to view. And then the dreaded call, seller had received a cash offer and selling.... to guess who OldBaz, at least i won't have to wait long to see it up for sale again, ha ha. Wont be buying the one he has for sale now though double the miles of the one he bought but the same price.....bitter.....yes a little....sick of bidding on fleabay making contact and then the seller selling outside of eBay.....oh well the search continues.

Gordon, Its not about being a better person and I do apologise if i have offended you by posting on here that was not the purpose of my post. Yes you did pay upfront and avery smooth transaction it was thank you for that. I also apologise if my car was not as mint as you expected, it is obviuosly a very nice car as can be seen in your description, yes you do have the rght to do as you please now the vehicle is yours. I to have the right post what i feel is right in the public domain. I do not wish to enter into a slanging match but it is obvious by your reply here and your very late voicemail this has hit a raw nerve. Like i said in my post, genuinely good luck with your sale, from one enthusiast to another. I can not recommend the car highly enough.

Well so much for the gentleman i sold my GS to being a Lexus enthusiast who wanted the car for his father. Maybe the £ signs were his real motive sold for £2995.00 a month or two ago. Had a real nice chat with him and even asked if he aws in the trade to which his reply was no were just Lexus enthusiasts. I hope he finds a real enthusiast who will take ownership and love it as much as i did. Good Luck with the sale. Now For Sale at the bargain price of............. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282118511514

Having just sold my MK1 GS300 sport my attention has now turned to finding another LS430. Having purchased a lovely low miler last year and my DAD falling in love with it and subsequently relieving me of it after many hours of ear bashing. I'm now on the look out for an immaculate 05/55/06 LS430 with around 50k to 60k on the clock with full history. Any colour combination considered so if any of my fellow Lexus lovers knows where there is one or wants out of their own let me know. I'm a fussy bugger so nothing on the usual sites a present has any appeal. Cheers Colin
