  1. My insurance goes down every year...... if you claimed for a screen and your policy went up by 30%.......might be the reason why... good idea on the comparison sites though I normally move company every year anyways although as mine went down.... happy days.
  2. Well got my windscreen replaced today... and rather well I might add not the usual 3rd times the charm as i have had before ... due to weather mostly I would say not the installer. Thanks for all the advice guys. I paid for the screen myself... fine print is the key.... claiming on your insurance doesn't effect your no claims..... but normally effects your premium. For the sake of 250 whole pounds and a coffee and cake at costa.... which was almost as much, its completed... and peace of mind is achieved. again thanks to all.
  3. Hi guys, has anyone every had a windscreen replaced on a celsior? I am wondering if the ls430 one will fit.... in my mind it should do last week I was kindly gifted by a lorry and a stone a lovely crack in my windscreen that goes all the way to the edge so.... stuffed.
  4. evening gents Has anyone been able to reset the yaw sensor without going to lexus... as my car has no mot so... I cant get there until I get the mot.. catch 22. thanks for your time again
  5. Nail right on the head there........brand perception is everything. It is amazing how many hoops brands can make you jump through to acquire one of their products.. You should check out Hermes bags, a friend told me that she had to ask for an appointment to go to one of their shops 3 times before they gave her a date she could go. when she went in they made her wait ages then asked her what she wanted the bag for, the sales assistant then left the shop floor 15 mins later came back with a bag. only choice was to buy the bag or never get another appointment there for no choice over the bag. I told her she was dumber than a sack of hammers (or words to that effect).
  6. If I had a press I might of done that... i always think about buying one... but i always seem to convince myself that that is the last bearing I will need to do so no point I think if had pressed one before I would be more confident doing so.... need that cherry burst
  7. Thanks Alan and Phil......I followed your trail and bought one at rockauto 5 days delivery so I am told, not that its an emergency. Tbh It is nice to have something to fix on the car I have been.....well worried it was saving up a big job for me, it is strange not having to do much work on a car except clean it.
  8. Good morning guys, Has anyone ever replaced a serpentine belt tensioner? Is it a lexus only replacement... mine is very quietly squeeking
  9. I dont suppose you have the link for the one you bought from ecp have you Phil
  10. Thanks RIck... The light does not stay on and clears as soon as I turn the key off and on again. So I think its seeing a fault which then clears.
  11. Thanks for the information and offer Rich :) it would be a shame to scrap the car... as its only got 90k on it..... its mot time also so I need to sort it before I can drive it
  12. I will check under the car when it stops raining for an offending hole.... thanks Phil
  13. Hi sorry been away... yes it is both Vsc and vsc off..... It does not show any codes on my code reader and the warnings go away if i turn the car off but both come back on only as the car moves away.
  14. Hi Guys, I have a 2002 Gs 300 90k miles which has now a VSC light coming on when I drive it but does not come on if I turn the engine off and on again until I drive. The car was sat for 9 months gathering dust, It has a brand new battery I have checked the Petrol cap sealing ok which it does. I have tried the VSC button on the centre console. It was running great with no warning lights when I parked it many moons ago. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time
  15. All sounds good Phil. Yeah there was some bad damage he said was done while shipping, the problem is the repair done was sub standard and really shows. I wonder if His dad's century will run on E10
  16. The rear seats are easy to take out Phil. It will also be a good time to clean under them for all the little lost items which were in peoples pockets over the years.... might even find some Yen down there
  17. Well this is an interesting thread to wake up to this morning, as I just filled up blindly at morrisons just happy I did not fuel up using the Black handle again...(A hard earned lesson from 15 years ago). I noticed in the document it says European models, I do wonder then how those with a Celsior will fair.
