Really? At the begging of June? Where are you of to? I am leaving on the 26th of May with the return on the 10th of June. Will drive all the way to Greece and bac:yahoo:

We are leaving on 9th of June to France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany (cannot wait for the autobahn) and back. My mate lives in Cologne so thought it would be nicer to drive than a plane. Greece sounds better to be fair :)

  2. I bought RCF other day with ACC/PCS TVD sunroof, QS exhaust etc just below 9k on the clock, was originally priced for £38k and I can tell you after the negotiations price dropped around £35k. I had a quick chat with Lexus Salesman and like someone previously said, some of the cars were bought on 3-year PPC and very soon they will be up for renewals and very likely their next choice is LC500 so hopefully more RCF coming to the market soon.

@Mike Peter There is a pair of OEM exhausts for sale on eBay if you feel the need but as you say see how you get on with it first.

If you decide the switchable is for you then pm me and I will be able to assist.

The OEM IS VERY QUIET I’m sure someone on here may be able to provide you with a ride along 👍

    Big Rat

I have OEM exhaust in the boxes as it came with the car.... I just wanted to compare the difference between the OEM and QuickSilver. I checked a few videos online but they don't justify the real sound so ideally if anyone here with OEM exhaust fancy a quick meeting I'm def up for it.

I will let you know re switchable, ta!

That’s the issue I had with my isf system. For early starts it was super loud. I would need a valve next time around. Sounds like you have the non valve one. The operation of the valve is usually on a separate fob if you have one.

    Thanks Stuno

@Mike Peter Hi Mike congrats on the purchase, the two systems are not interchangeable parts wise I'm guessing you've got the axle back system which is NOT switchable on cold start up is loud but settles quite quickly. If you want to tone it down immediately just put the car into drive and move off immediately.

It really is a fantastic bit of kit just done 500 or so miles in mine in the last 3 days it really is epic.

The full switchable system depicted is the thick end of £5K when you add vat.

    Big Rat

Thank Big Rat, I'm picking up the car on Tuesday and cannot wait! I will see how it runs for a few weeks and gonna decide on a switchable system then.

Any1 here with the OEM exhaust on RCF?

  5. Hi Guys,

I have been a member of this forum for quite some time, not very active tho. I have had my ISF for 2 years (amazing car), last week I went to a Lexus dealer to see nice white RCF and I bought it... dunno how this happened as I didn't plan on changing the ISF, I guess love from the first sight lol. The car comes with QuickSilver exhaust already installed and I have a quick question for some of you who already have the exhaust. On QuickSilver website, there is a video of the exhaust on RCF with switchable valves. Anyone knows if this is the standard option they provide for all their exhaust systems or do you have to request that? When I had a test drive I checked all the modes and the car sounds exactly the same. Don't get me wrong the sound is amazing I'm just concerned about my neighbours and morning starts as it is super loud... :D. Ta!

  6. Hi Chaps,

Very odd experience with ISF, I'm getting cracking noise from steering wheel after going over the speed bumps or small wholes on the road. I went to Lexus Edgware, they had it for a few days and diagnosed it as an issue with steering column. Replaced it under the warranty (messed up radio buttons and gear paddle shifts...), but the cracking noise was still there. Went back and left it for another few days, they took it apart and reconnected buttons and also "cleaned and re-secure loose and dirty wiring and terminals". Then Lexus technician took it for a "20 miles" test run and it was happy with the results as apparently cracking was gone after cleaning it... I picked up the car again and as soon as I drove it, I went over the first speed bump and cracking was not solved... Loosing my mind as the car was with them 4 times and every time they break some other stuff.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

  7. So I went to Kwik-Fit yesterday to get my tires done with Nitrogen, it took them only 5 mins to do the whole job. I'm not too sure if they actually done anything. Also I don't know how the process should look like. Don't they need to run tires flat first and refill with Nitrogen?  Also, found video on youtube about Kwik-Fit Nitorgen scam...

  8. Hey Chaps,

I have a bit of an issue with mine as well (not too sure if that's related to brushes). Every time I brake harder or go over a bumper I can hear cracking sound coming from the right front side of the car... Called Lexus and explained everything and now just waiting for their action plan. Bought the car around a month ago and don't really fancy spending a few £££ on the repair.

Regarding the USRS I found video clip which shows the difference:
