Sounds like it could be one to give a miss tbh. I'd rather have an older car that's spot on history wise etc. sounds like it'll be a £25k spend by the time it's spic and span and still will never have service history...

Dear all, some you may remember me from the start of the year, I was due to pick up the low mileage 09 grey car from Woodford in February when a couple of days pre collection we were broken into and burgled to include our S3 and many personal possessions. At the time I couldn't think about cars and decided to pull out of the purchase (Alex Kennedy at Woodford Lexus was fantastic) although we have spent some money on beefing up security and got back to normal now and I would still very much like an ISF! Budget wise, max looking to spend would be 23/24 k. Although happy to just find a nice car so if there's a nice example for 19/20 I'd consider it, although may prefer to fry to get a later model.. Any views on the below? Gents, I have had one heck of a morning. came to the stairs and we have been burgled and the Mrs S3 is gone. I **** you not. Crime scheme investigation been in and got some footprints etc. Not sure how wise it would be to say much more on a public forum at this stage. smashed the back door in nicked both sets of keys wallets purses laptop etc and fooked off. Have explained to Woodford Based on this I can't proceed right now. They were very good about it to be fair. Need Wait and see if the Audi is recovered before reconsidering things and whether we now need 2 new cars or not. Right now glad we are both safe and slept through the whole thing #desperate times...

Can anybody please advise what torque wrench bit I need for the wheel nuts? First plans are to get the car up on axle stand, wheels off and sealed properly and same for the arches and calipers! Cheers

All being well, by this time next week my new steed will be on the drive (or in the garage to be precise!) i have been scouring the ISF section of the forum and trying to think of everything I want to know / have sorted before pickup, hope people can help with the below: Do these cars typically use much oil? I'd like to buy some for top up purposes, what should I be getting? (A web link would be great as I'm not too good on these things!) when buying a discounted service pack I presume that is just relevant to that specific dealer and not the whole network? when buying the extended warranty and spreading payment, does this have to just be over 12 months or can it be 24? Do all cars come with a space saver as standard? Is it possible to get a more up to date sat nav disc? And how much would the cost be? i would like to buy some paint chip fill in paint, can the dealer sort this and once again what's the price? does the dealer sell rubber mats? Cost is so? how much do replacement carpet mats cost? is it possible to buy replacement rear 'Lexus' and 'ISF' badges as fancy some gloss black ones? Same question on the front grill? apologies for so many questions and thanks in advance rich

Where do people tend to fit the unit and is this a job best undertaken by a professional? as you say you have to plug the device in, does this mean you just run the cable form the IVIC through to say the dash/centre console?

I'm a bit of a dinosaur so sorry if this is stupid question, but if I want to plug my iPhone into an 2009 car to play deezer / Spotify how does it work and what will I need to buy? what is this IVIC and does it provide any further benefits over wireless music? thanks in advance

Have put a deposit on the Woodford car, didn't want to miss out for the sake of a few quid. Have done so on a refundable basis and on the condition that in my eyes, it's mint. Fingers crossed it as should b / I hope it will be as I won't be stumping up if it isn't! away this weekend so will have to go down next - could be a long 10 days!

Whatever I get will be straight to the detailer for the full works!

For those interested I received a call from Manchester on the red one saying they could do 23k. may go and have another look at it see if there's a deal at 21-22. Perhaps they could wash it this time so I could see the paint better :-/

I don't think so but he did say it looked like 2 would be changed. maybe the other 2 have already now been done. think he said 2 at 5mil 2 at 2mil

Tbh it's not the colour for me hence I haven't tried to push on it. Whilst I was curious thought it a bit unfair to string them along when they've been really good. have been doing the d*** dance with Woodford on the grey one but we have reached an impasse at £24k, I would probably have gone to 23. very interested to hear people's thoughts on that price?!

Evening all, wanted to do a decent length post to document my experience of the ISF I went to test drive today. The car was the red one at Lexus Manchester, MNMJs former steed. I booked in after a nice chat with a girl called Candice on Friday and arrived on site at 10am this morning. It's my first dealings ever with Lexus and I have to say how impressed I was. No pushiness at all, very pleasant and all things considered a revelation compared to many I have dealt with at other rival marques (BMW, Merc etc) So, to the car, in great condition, spotted a little / light kerbage on one front wheel, other than that all very tidy. hopped into the driver seat and got myself comfortable. The dash area was one of my main concerns with the ISF as it's a bit less refined imho than the likes of the M3 & C63. I stand by that statement although in defence of the ISF I actually think it is all functionally better, the touch screen is much more intuitive than the twizzy clicker type set up on the German cars however I do find these to be a fair bit more refined and aesthetically pleasing. Onto the drive, I must say, I'm not a particularly aggressive driver at the best of times and do tend to go into my shell on these test drives / when driving a car that's not my own. Therefore I can only say that I enjoyed the engine note greatly although didn't really get the revs up much! I found the ride to be acceptable (pre facelift car) but I think this is due to me coming from Mini GP2 and Z4 on big wheels both of which were fairly bone shaking. I can see what people mean that it isn't damped the best and would be interested to compare to a facelift... Also not too bothered about having the LSD for my purposes but would enjoy having DAB-can anyone confirm when this came in? Were there any other bits of interest that came in on the facelift? What I would say is that the red isn't personally for me I don't think, I didn't dislike it but think black / grey may suit me better... Would love to see the Woodford car, but with one thing and another can't travel 200 miles to view at this point in time. They did send me a video etc but it was a dull day and not great video. Can anyone help with either: 1-Do any North west members have a grey one I could come and have a look at? 2 - Does anyone have some really good clean grey photos (like the lovely black ones in this thread)?
