  1. Hey James, Here's a strange thing: I just got back from driving in France ALSO for 2 weeks in a Ford Focus! - Glad to be back and driving my IS200 Anyway, yeah, my Dunlop9000's did 30K on my IS200 which I was impressed with. But 25K of that is possibly just Motorway driving since I do 50 miles per day on the M25. I do very little A-Roads and very small amounts of fast cornering. But it does go to show what these tyres can do with motorway mileage.
  2. I managed to get 30,000 miles/1.5 years out of my original front set (replaced this week by my Guildford dealer), most of the tread was still 4mm and legal apart from the inside of both tyres was below legal limit .., almost as if the tracking was out. Will be watching for that on my new set. PS Guildford dealer replaced these Dunlop9000 tyres at £130 each ... that's not a bad price right ?
  3. I'm glad I read this thread, I thought I was going mad thinking I could smell the Lexus air-con. Funny thing is, my car is parked at the back of my work all day near a load of air-con units on the building, I assumed it might of been those! I'm sure my air con didn't smell as described above last summer (when it was 6 months old), I notice it more on a hot day and switch it on max (which recirculates internal air) after my car has been standing for a few hours. I'm gonna mention it to my dealer (where my IS200 resides right now getting 5 new free replacement wheels to replace the corroded ones!). Will post comments here (if any!)
  4. Thanks fluff34567, After reading this post I went outside, inspected my wheels closer to reveal it was corrosion and not brake dust which I could not remove! Went back to dealer (I bought my IS200 in Jan2001) and I've now got 5 brand new wheels... after 1.5 years of use: cool! I'm told this problem was fixed in April'02 by extra coating and a new 'film' layer on the wheels ... the newer versions look more 'glossy' than the original wheels did when they were new. Anyone else who has < 3 year old IS200 with the same prob should contact the dealer.
  5. Yeah, last version I borrowed from Lexus for France was 3.4 There's an awful lot of new motorways in France in the past 2 years which I guess will take time to appear on the next revision of the CDROM version of the sat nav. My UK copy is also V3.4 which I'm told is still(!) the latest.
