Mine is 18 months old and the Bridgestone run flats were abysmally noisy on anything but ice-smooth tarmac and that's as rare as a slow Tesla driver around Leicestershire! Very pleased to be rid of them.

That's far too much to pay Steve, RF tyres aren't worth damaging your ears for that price!

Standard sound system, wireless dongle running Android Auto. Sounds great.
This conversation reminds me of the CD v Vinyl conversation of old, apparently only about 2% of the population have perfect ears and none of them are in my age bracket!
Now, if only Google and amazon would grow up and work together I may one day ask 'OK Google, play Wish you were here' and actually hear that playing! Last time I got the 12 days of Christmas, comedy version!

Where are you in Leicestershire? I have a similar device, from Halfords, that you could try to see if it fits, if not too far away. I'm in Mountsorrel.

I bought an NX450+H about 18 months ago. I have had quite a few problems with it and just haven't been getting the mileage that I anticipated, am only getting 40 mpg (probably due to the lack of city driving that I do). I have never been able to get the charging station component of the apps working (have had an open ticket with Lexus for 18 months on this but still no update). Overall the after-care has been abysmal with me regularly having to chase up issues that I raise weeks later, after having no contact from the dealer. Having said that, I really enjoy the driving experience of the NX, so I had a big moan to my dealer about the poor after-care and lack of resolution of the issues that I have reported. I ended up ordering a brand new NX 350h Takumi last week. Just had a call with the dealer, it arrives at the dealership tomorrow, so can collect on Friday(!). I am guessing that there must have been a spare NX in exactly the spec I ordered floating round...no way they built and transported it that quick unless they are now working Christmas miracles.
I've never bought a car that actually hit the advertised mpg yet and city driving wouldn't help to get there IMHO.
Secondly, give that salesman a bonus for turning a disgruntled customer into a returning buyer! Been there myself, sucked in by those silver-tongued tempters! Into your pocket faster than a grand child!

It didn't take me long, the issue is in connected services there is an additional confirmation button on the app. that you want smart features activated. once I press that I get an extra window under the main screen allowing me to lock, unlock, and start climatisation. tested and working tho the map is still off not showing me the car location. but at least I have those functionalities. the phone is iPhone 13.
Good info. Thanks.
My Connected Services only shows 'Trial Services' and does not show any to add nor a settings button anywhere on the app. I assume that my car doesn't support anything more. -
Good that he doesn't drive the RX. He'd have shoved the other car into orbit!

Can anyone tell which Lexus Jimmy Tarbuck was driving during his recent 'hit and run' escapade?
Papers state a 'Green, 2 litre model' but I can't tell from the images and I'd like to know if my car is capable of shunting another 'the length of 3 houses' and still get me home!
I wonder why he didn't stop? Answers on a postcard perhaps?

I'd agree on 'normal' petrol/diesel engines Stop/Start is nothing but irritating
Worked brilliantly in my Volvo V40. Averaged 70+ to the gallon constantly and as I worked near London I was in traffic queues forever!

What about the CD player. It's so well hidden that it's hardly there at all!

Having followed much the same route, NX - retirement -UX, I can say that although the UX is lovely and the driver's area does not seem much smaller, overall I wish I'd stuck with an NX. Boot space is restrictive and the rear seat drop is now a regularly used feature.
I am thinking that when we go to one car in 3 or 4 years time then the LBX may seem a logical step.

in any case, I find mine quite nippy and 8.7 seconds is fast enough to 60.

Thanks to everyone on the forum, you’ve been so helpful and this has been the nicest forum I’ve been on ever.
Unfortunately I can’t say the same of lexus Preston. The car I looked at was the same list price as a new Mazda cx30 and less than the new Volvo and lexus offered me £2000 less for my car than the other two then tried to insinuate the other two were being dodgy when they were £100 a month away from the others.
So I went with the Mazda at the end of the day as I can’t justify £100 a month more for something the same price.
I personally believe that Lexus sales staff have a a slightly exaggerated view of their own importance - to a degree. I'm willing to bet that you get a follow up asking what they need to do to secure a deal (when it's too late). Same happened to me twice. I try to make it clear that whilst I understand that they need to make a profit we all have budgets and I make my best (and fair) counter-offer. If it's declined I don't hang around or try to batter them with further comms. That's what best and final offer means.

Trackpad. The system works really well I find and I hardly ever actually use the pad whilst driving. I use an Android dongle and the voice controls are excellent - apart from asking Google to play a specific music track and then it's a lottery!
One thing the car does that may have a bearing is that it connects to the house wifi every time it's on my driveway.

Funny That Because Mine is doing the same..Does not show ANY trips i have done Like it used to..Dont know what the problem is !!!
Since upgrading, mine now tells me when the doors are open and the trip record works fine.
Two trips to Melton yesterday with mpg that makes me smile. 😁

Even if I had a 'AC' button I would leave it on anyway as the best way to stop misting up.
I'm not sure why and although I have checked the car for damp, this passed week or so my rear screen has been very heavily condensed! The rear screen demister seems to take an eternity to clear it but it does clear eventually. Maybe it's just the 'Season of Mellow Fruitfulness' having its way!

Thing is:
A. I wanted low-priced running costs and
B. I don't want to burn down the building.
Thanks for everyone's help though! 😜

One thing I know from reading/following this forum is that there are some clever characters on board who appear to not only give good advice but do it in a non condescending manner.
I know it's not car related but could anyone advise on a method of heating and when I say that I mean basically just taking the chill-off my garage, using a solar powered heater? I see that 12v fan heaters are readily available (to thaw cars apparently) but can I just buy a 50w solar panel, wire-on a 12v aux port and plug in a car heater perhaps? Sounds a bit too simple.
Apologies to all if I shouldn't be asking here, particularly as there is no chance of my car ever fitting into the garage!

And today the Biometrics won't work! At least they emailed to let users know!

I can live without electric seats but the lack of an adjustable lumber support in my Premium 'Sport' Pack is a massive oversight imho.
-
I used to get the golf clubs in my NX with no problem but they wouldn't fit my UX - if I still played.
I drop the 1/3 rear seat to fit in two long gun boxes (1250mm). The good thing is that not only can they not be seen due to the privacy glass. Noise doesn't increase either!

Sounds a bit obvious, for which I apologise, but have you given permission for the car to access your data? The request should pop up and you just click yes I think. On Android anyway.
