  1. The passenger side is as quiet as previous CT was on both sides! Externally doors on driver side appear correctly fitted, no noticeable panel gaps. Strange thing occurred when discussing with Service Manager, at next dealership I'm going to... vehicle records do not state door seal replaced but something else, a 'guard' of some kind. They mentioned possible internal door issue, will discuss further when attend. On Wheeler Dealers they used a gas bomb inside one of their cars which showed any gaps appearing through rubber seals etc. Asked if service manager had seen this, he had but just gave me a strange look and said nothing when I asked him to do this on my vehicle as he was having trouble discovering issue.
  2. Brand new car arrived with a damaged rear drivers side door seal, thought this would be the issue, but when replaced by dealer (who charged for this, as part not included in warranty... Complained to Lexus who paid for it) it didn't make much. if any, difference. Since then have had vehicle to three different dealers, one showed a complete lack of interest as not bought from them, one heard 'something that should not be there', inserted something into door surround which actually made things worse as door trim started to rattle, but refused to have car back for further inspection and finally after initially advising nothing could be found, because they hadn't road tested on single carriageway roads where cars pass at speed, which is what I've constantly advised highlighted issue, they heard something on dual carriageway, then replaced door seal. Although initially this did appear to quieten things, this was still noticeable and has become worse since weather turned cold. Someone I know, who works at a manufacturers body repair shop, sat in car when stationary and could clearly hear noise from passing cars which should not occur. Do not have wind deflectors fitted. F Sport has a few differences with body trim, but have yet to meet any other CT F Sport owner who has experienced similar problems. After having a CT for 5 years previously, very happy with quietness otherwise I wouldn't have bought another! OK then... service mangers latest suggestion as this is his opinion after nearly three years of dealing with this is.... This car has 'open wheels', the noise must be bouncing off other passing vehicles and coming back into cabin! Yeah that sounds like the answer ... when noise can be heard entering car when stationary! Read the CT handbook which provides a lot of information on how Lexus test vehicles and deal with their customers... ummm, I'll let anyone on here decide about that. I'm off to another dealer soon...
  3. Bought new from dealer in 2019 and continue to have same issue I have had since buying... excessive noise entering drivers side from passing vehicles. It is a long long story, as you can image over all this time, but dealers (tried more than one!) have not provided any solution. I was hoping someone from North East England may respond to this so we could compare vehicles, as dealers in area advise they do not have similar model to compare with. Last thought from service manager was pathetic, so I won't bother to say what it was!
  4. Interested to hear from anyone who has a 2019 model CT200h F Sport. Have an issue with mine, would like feedback from other owners if possible.
  5. My first service was due March 2020 but delayed due to virus and undertaken in June 2020. Second service should have been due in March 2021 receiving messages from dealers to arrange, but as not 12 months since last service (only completed 1,500 miles), should the second service be due in June 2021?
  6. It is the wheel nuts that were due to be replaced because 13 of them are rusty. Yeah the locking wheel nuts are all rusty, but apparently these are not replaceable, under what I stated above.
  7. OK I hear what you say but... Why take photographs of rusty wheel nuts, inform customer will be in touch and then not record it on system or follow up when advised? The wheels have never been taken off this vehicle, to my knowledge, vehicle went into dealer for first service..
  8. As the following promises, what appears to be very high standards for customer, in the CT brochure, although a minor wheel nut issue, does not meet these standards. '....Throughout your vehicle’s life, we’ll endeavour to ensure an amazing ownership experience, offering unequalled service and seamless maintenance work, all orchestrated to provide complete satisfaction and total piece of mind. When you visit our showrooms, we strive to anticipate your every need … Lexus technicians will work with precision and efficiency… We treat every customer as if they were guests in our own home. The answer lies in our Japanese heritage and one word ‘Omotenashi’ translates as ‘hospitality and polite service’. However Omotenashi is much more than excellence of service, it is an ancient Japanese concept that describes one’s ability to anticipate the needs of another, even before they arise. Omotenashi is a way of life and thinking for every single Lexus employee.'
  9. Just as a matter of interest, did the grey CT, you were loaned, suffer more wind or from more external noise than your own car?
  10. If you bought from a Lexus dealer, they may be willing to assist you. May!
  11. When car was in for it's service, a few months ago, photos of rusty wheel nuts were taken by guy from service whom I dealt with, to request replacements under warranty. A few days later the receptionist rang asking if everything had been OK during service, I mentioned about the wheel nuts, she said she would check with service department. Strangely rusty wheel nuts were replaced under warranty on previous CT without issue. Oddly nothing more heard four months later, so contacted dealer to ask why. Reply was from service manager that he knew nothing about this. Strange actions from a Lexus Dealership. I was requested to look and see how many were rusty as only these would be replaced. Still awaiting any further contact. Has anyone else experienced, recently, any problems with rusty wheel nuts being replaced or anything else under warranty? Concerned at the deteriorating service being received by both local Lexus dealers since experiencing unresolved problem with car.
  12. Any further news about your baby?
  13. Guess, like all cars, a test drive is the first thing to do. Dealers, normally, will lend you a demonstrator for weekend. (Both Toyota & Lexus in my experience) The car takes a little while to get used to, if you've never experienced the CVT system. Like all cars, they have good and bad points, but if you're looking for reliability... Toyota have a good range of Hybrid cars to test drive, if the CT does not seem right for you.
  14. Mayne should have looked on Lexus Service home page first! (ended up in US one first which is different, complimentary service after 6 months, swap tyres around etc.) Although states about software updates in text, nothing mentioned in service:- Software updates and diagnostic tools With genuine software updates using our proprietary diagnostic tools, it’s your guarantee that your car is in safe hands. It’s also your assurance that we’ll make every effort to get you back on the road with minimum interruption to your day. 15. Had a few issues with previous CT (2014) relating to sat nav/radio which the dealer I bought it from could not correct, so called at another dealer who plugged it in and discovered it hadn't had any software updates since new.... after four services from new. There were no more issues after this update. Current CT (2019) is in for its first service this week, anyone have any information as to what is included in this service? Does it include any software updates? It is back to original dealer due to further issues with second dealer, anyone noticed a change in how Lexus dealers treat their customers or is it just me?
  16. When I found the correct page I found the answer! 736 pages in owners manual & 353 pages in Navigation manual ... plenty to look through! For some models only - mine obviously! - 'can open by pulling inside handle even if the lock button is in the lock position.' I'll mention to dealer how good manual is when I next visit.
  17. Believed my CT's doors and boot locked when reaching 20mph, but notice passenger can exit (when engine running and not in 'P') without usual unlocking by pressing door lock switch on drivers door panel. Boot and rear doors lock and can only be opened by pressing switch. Dealer advises this is correct, I thought it was a safety feature on cars to stop anyone opening doors from outside. Also said manual is not worth paper written on. Maybe some advice is available...
  18. Where? When? Can you point me to it?
  19. I am unable to comment further. But... If anyone, other than myself, experiences these issues I would still appreciate their comments, otherwise if no one else has these issues that will also be useful information. Thanks for all comments so far.
  20. I would totally agree, if I could get this noise issue sorted! My previous CT was as you describe, although one of the things I really enjoyed was 5 rattle free years! The suspension and steering are much improved on current CT but....
  21. Interested in where you read about noise from outside the CT?
  22. No feedback from other owners, that is the strange thing. Lexus advise no other complaints received regarding this either.
  23. I have, and as previously mention had one for five years, which didn't have this issue.
  24. Out on country roads I find the handling brilliant, quick turn in to corners with little body role. I've got an 2019 version (you may read about my issue with noise entering cabin elsewhere!), just wondering if you have upgraded suspension fitted on your car? It now comes as standard. Cars suit the individual.
