  1. My understanding is that a local scrote nicked it and was after a £2.5k ransom to return it, hence the videos he was posting.

If the car was nicked to order, it would be long gone by now.

The owner only got the car in November and I guess he was targeted once the little bar steward found out where he lived.

I see from the video it has gained a dent in the rear bumper. If thats all thats wrong t can be fixed.

Odd that the police haven't picked it up yet.

  2. This may equally apply to the RCF and GSF - When I am looking at a ISF I like to check the MOT history on line and I am amazed at the % I look at that have failed or had listed as an advisory with excessive tyre wear. Are the cars sensitive to tyre brand, set up, pressures etc or is it just down to owners negligence ?

  3. I don't know the history of the car, just stick the reg in the Gov MOT website and it will show you it's MOT history inc advisories.

What I do know is that Trust have sold 4 ISF cars over the last 7 odd months and they are very well priced.

As this car also still has a few months Lexus warranty and a decent service history it's well worth a look if you like the colour

I am looking at a Mitsubishi GTO MR and a 300zx both cars from an era I like. Next I'll try the new Alpine A110 as I had a 610. Then last of all having sold my business and a few of my Fender Custom Shop guitars a McLaren 720s although I'm beginning to think they are worse than Lotus on the reliability stakes so not sure if I will go any further on that.

Have a look at JayEmm on Cars on youtube - he has done a number of videos on McLaren cars and the issues with both the cars and the dealerships.

  5. If you look at the taxed & sorn listings for the IS F then there are a little over 200  ( 214 Q3 2019 ) cars showing up.

Of these around 90 are registered as 2010 + cars.

However a lot of MY2009 are on 2010 plates which skew the figures of MY2010 + model) .

Easiest visual checks are blue section to bottom of steering wheel on a 2010 MY car.  2011+ MY cars have LED daytime lights built into headlight.

All UK Ultra Sonic Blue cars are MY2010 built cars.

The attached lists the changes by MY

Don't get too hung up on the year of the car. Condition and a file of Invoices for servicing is likely to be a better proposition.

  6. Have been and had a look at the Sidcup car. It is indeed SK10 ZXU from the BCA sale

Booked an appointment and was promised a test drive. Sadly that didn't happen as the car had a total flat nsf tyre.

Not a well cared for car and needs some paint and interior work to bring it back. The rear seat has massive cuts in it.

Lexus Sidcup say they will sort it, but I suspect they want a sale first.

    No sunroof

Will do. How often does the water pump need to be done on them?

There was a water pump problem with a few 08 cars, mostly in the US. Not all cars were affected and if it's not failed ( leaked ) by now I would guess it's fine. If the car has been main dealer maintained, they should have all the records of work done.

There's one for sale on the Lexus pre-approved website at Lexus Sidcup. No pictures yet and not sure about sunroof. Is that included in your 4?

Indeed it is. It's the car that was sold by BCA at the end of November.  SK10 ZXU and was in a sorry state. Interesting that a main dealer now has it. I am planing on viewing it, as it's only 30mins up the road from where I live.
