Thanks for the replies and my apologies for the delay in responding.
The car has been serviced by Lexus from new and it was on the MOT as an advisory. Other than this there have been no issues with the car and no symptoms.
I'll check with dealer regarding a warranty claim and let you know.
Regards,
Kevin
So, if I'm reading correctly, you didn't know there was a problem until the MOT told you so?
Cheers
Steve

Has anyone had a problem with these. Last service shows they are becoming 'debonded' which in layman's terms means the rubber is perished. Lexus are quoting £662 to replacement which seems excess for 2 rubber joints. Car is 4 years old with 32k miles.
Should this be covered by warranty?
Hi Kevin, may I ask what the symptoms of this problem were please? Did you hear anything? Thanks,
Steve

For anyone interested in 4 x Crossclimate 2 tyres, ATS are currently selling 225/60 R18's at £149 each, but with £64 off fitting costs for 4, and an extra £50 claimable cashback... making it only £120 a tyre!.... til the end of August.
Just had 4 fitted and can't believe how quiet they are.

Hmm... it's tricky. It's further back than the rear seats... There is now nothing in the boot at all, I've even removed the spare wheel and all 'packaging', then this morning I've driven to my local tyre place and after 8 miles the noise started up in earnest. Nothing at all before that! I really think this is suspension now. My dealer has listened and apparently agrees, and is consulting Lexus Technical... I'll keep you posted 👍

Thanks Hillie, I will check these but I think when I have looked fairly recently they all did look ok, and I know I siliconed them in case. I will look again though! Thanks for your thoughts 👍👍👍

Thanks Alex - I tend to agree, but unfortunately my car is a model year 2020 vintage 🙂

Have you completely emptied your boot as the noise does seam to be foam based but you need to start from square one again .
Once empty get someone in there.

The only thing I haven't yet removed and tried again with, is the spare wheel. This is coming out imminently (the weather has stopped me trying again since I got back)... but I'm increasingly thinking it's not in the boot. Also I thought the recording sounded less like polystyrene than I'd originally thought...
Cheers, Tel 👍

The honest truth is that if I don't know what something does, I have no qualms about poking, pressing, pulling or doing whatever, to find out what happens
Best case scenario - I learn something and store it in my little gray cells for future reference.

Still not sorted unfortunately 😞 - thread continues here...

So, just to conclude this, I siliconed everything and was suicidal when it was still squeaking. When I could I emptied the boot of everything and discovered the spare wheel wasn't quite clamped completely solidly, a few turns to tighten it has completely resolved the issue... getting silicon spray on North Uist was a challenge and cost me £8 😂 - oh well, sorted. Thanks all for your suggestions 👍👍👍
So, there's more, for anyone interested! 😒
NOT resolved. I thought the spare wheel had fixed it but it hadn't. Before too long the creaking returned. Some investigation revealed that the black polystyrene insert in the spare wheel squeaks like billy-o if it's moved against - well, almost any other surface... so I fully insulated it from everything and still the creak/squeak continued. Usually it takes a bit of journey to get it going again, so it's really frustrating, you think you've fixed it, then.... 😡So I called the dealership (Lexus Chester) and took it in to them yesterday (4 hr round trip). It was creaking happily as I drove it into the forecourt. We left them to it, they then phone me - they can't hear anything... I return, I go out with them, I can't hear it either... they've re-siliconed everything I had siliconed, they moved the locking wheel nuts out of the boot and shifted the black insert a bit, have they fixed it?? 🤔
I have to agree that there's no noise so I agree to try and record it if it happens again. We drive 15 miles and the noise starts up again... 😭😭😭😡🤬
I record it, so I have a recording (yay!) and having really had enough, I remove the black insert from the boot, and we drive home - with the creak happily creaking all the way home. (so it's not the black insert)...
I'm at the end of my tether. What else can this be? Suspension?? (the dealership did check everything was ok, but would they have been able to detect a squeak/creak from the suspension which doesn't happen all the time?) Does rear suspension creak on an NX? I live quite near the sea, could this be responsible for the problem? Why does it usually take a number of miles before the noise occurs?
Anyway, for your delectation, attached is the recording - taken by my phone in the boot, driving slowly round a car park a couple of times... second half of the recording is clearer.
Any ideas?? 🥴 -
I can't see a suitable Crossclimate size for my NX (225/60 R18 H)... what size are NX owners fitting? 🤔

Thanks for all your replies folks. As currently in Outer Hebrides on holiday, my options were limited (!), but got hold of some silicon lubricant from a 'hardware store' (£8!!! but beggars can't....) so tomorrow morning is lubrication time!! ☺️☺️👍👍

It's more than likely the rubber seal around the tailgate. Spray it with some silicone, that should cure it.
Thanks Alex, I'll definitely give this a go. Would be better than the suspension about to drop off... which is what it sounds like!! Cheers, I'll let you know.

Drove me nuts with adding bits of foam padding to everywhere in the boot until I stumbled across the boot mat rubbing on the tailgate.
Old problem, I know, but I don't have the Lexus rubber mat, and I do have a squeaking problem from the rear of my NX... goes away for a short while when I open and close the tailgate. Could be the seals? It's driving me mad!

many thanks Steve, will look into that. I am assuming that was with the pre-facelifted NX model?
It was! (Sorry for the delay)

Hi folks, what I believe to be the tailgate in my 2019 NX 300h has recently started squeaking. While traveling on rough roads all of a sudden I get this noise like two pieces of plastic rubbing together. If I stop and lift the tailgate and close it again the noise goes away for a few minutes then returns.
Anyone else had this? Any suggestions/solutions anyone please - it's starting to get really annoying!? 😡

Hello. My last car had wireless android auto, and I was really hoping the NX would have it. I think it is strange it does not, does anyone know why it does not have wireless Auto?
Yesterday I managed to get my hands on a Motorola MA1 adaptor which when plugged into the cars USB socket, claims to transform the car into wireless android auto. Unfortunlaley I had a mixed experience with it. Yes it did do as claimed, however, to work you have to have your phone connected to the vehicle with bluetooth only, not Android Auto. The adaptor then activates Android Auto wirelessly, Where it goes wrong, is when you shut the car down and start up again. The car still try's to connect to the phone using Android Auto, this it cant do as it needs to start off in bluetooth mode. You then have to go into the phone settings in the car and change it back to bluetooth, the adaptor will then connect the android auto wirelessly. Too much of a faff so may as well just connect with a short cable.
Has anyone tried any other Android auto wireless adaptors in the NX and managed to get it working well?
Hi Kenny, I have had total success with the AAWireless dongle https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/ - it connects to my Google Pixel 6 Pro really quickly every time (within 10 seconds) - no faff whatsoever. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S10 though and connections were hit and miss with that - something to do with the way Samsung allows apps to activate Bluetooth or something. So success may depend on your phone.

I ordered my Lexus 350H with the Premium Plus Pack in mid November. I was told at the time of the order that the delivery date would be in May. I revisited the showroom a few weeks ago in order to take the demonstration vehicle out for a test drive. I was very impressed with the overall performance and refinement of the vehicle. The sales person then informed that the delivery date had been pushed back to July. I have tried to check the build status on my Lexus account, but no build date has been given. I would not be surprised if the dealer informs at a later date that the expected delivery date has been pushed back to September.
If it is any consolation, I was going to order a Range Rover Velar, but was told that the delivery time would be approximately one year, and the vehicle would not necessarily come with all the option extras that I wanted due to silicon chip shortages. I walked away without placing an order, then I walked into the Lexus showroom and placed my order for the NX 350H.At the time of order the dealership seemed quite confident about a May delivery. I walked away feeling quite happy with my decision.
Hopefully I will receive my NX350 in July.
All the best
and bonus... you'll now have a car that stays on the road 😉

You can disable that rear seat warning in the settings. Don’t fully understand the point of it 🤔
Perhaps to prevent you leaving something valuable on display on the back seat!?

😞 I understand the extra £355 is payable from the second year onwards so do you get something telling you it will be payable then when you get the car and is that how you know you will have to pay it?.
Hi, they won't necessarily say a thing at delivery but the £355 is simply added to your DVLA tax demand at renewal. You find out then!

Oh my gosh! I can't imagine ever doing that to a new car.
I have a loathing for squeaks and rattles in cars and I'd be terrified I'd introduce one.
No criticism intended, it's your car and you can do what you want with it. More a recognition of my own very limited DIY skills.
Same here!

Torque is not having those options. You need carista apk.
You can download it from the website adress posted above.
After you connect it to the car is super simple, just go in the second menu--I belive is called customization. You will be able to change all the options described in my previous post.
I will post some pictures tomorrow.
Oh, great, glad I asked! 👍

Not a common issue but as long as you have the car serviced at a dealership they'll continue to be covered by warranty, so stop worrying!
