  1. The wiring used came with the sony stereo and plugs into where the amp was the only 3 wires that arnt wired in are -Sub + -Sub - -Blue wire coming from back of stereo
  2. Before putting the aftermarket stereo in, the clock and cig lighter went off when the keys where out the stereo turns off when keys are out because the fuse i have it plugged into for 12v is only live when ignition is on
  3. its powered by a piggyback fuse connector into the fusebox on the passenget footwell thr battery is dying aftet sitting for one day, alternator and battery have been replaced the amp has been removed also, is this due to uncomplete wiring due to the removed standard stereo? help greatly needed
  4. Help Needed! Put a Sony stereo into my IS200, but it is causing flat batteries! The clock and cig lighter is always on 12v even if keys are out Any way to fix this preferably without buying a different lead?
  5. Update: Squeak fixed, just had a backing plate on one of the pads loose. Sorted now 😁
  6. Done. I may or may not have went with a different approach.. But its done. But now..... I have a squeak between 10-30mph since changing all the pads constantly while driving.. anything anyone can think of before i head out to take a look? Thanks all 🙂
  7. Sounds like a plan! Im not sure how i feel about the 2-3 hours of hammering though Where would be best to hammer? The side of the caliper where the pin slides into or hammer the caliper bracket while supporting the caliper for it to come apart? Really trying to keep the threads on the pin good to save buying another.
  8. Im thinking about disconnecting the brake line and unbolting the caliper mounting bracket to have a better go at freeing things up
  9. I have read on a post here that: "When taking the stock unit off you are breaking the circuit between clock, c-lighter n sat-nav if u got one which will mean they r running on 12v constant n not ign. In that case u will have to take ur stock unit apart and connect the circuit board leaving it in the glove box connected to the original iso cable in order to have the circuit running. My battery was flat overnight lol." Am i right in saying that simply removing the fuse for the Cig Lighter will stop its constant 12v and keep the battery alive for much longer? Thanks!
  10. BUMP I have the exact same problem.. Battery dead after 2-3 days, took light bulbs out of clock and still dies... Any Help? Happened as soon as i installed a Ebay Sony Stereo.
  11. Just thinking to myself.. am i able to unbolt the rear caliper mounting brackets without the removal of anything else?
  12. On the side that i took the photo it is loose because i can see the thread twisting as i move the caliper, it just wont slide off so maybe some heat on the caliper and a hammer will get it off. Although at the other side it is solid after ive taken the top caliper bolt off, i can lever it down but its solid. Im afraid of destroying the threads for the bottom pin to screw into if i hammer the caliper, have people cut these bottom pins off before with a grinder to replace them?
  13. Hello all! As you can see from the photo my lower rear caliper pin on each side is seized into the caliper. Would the heat from a flame help release this along with a hammer? i dont want to strip the threads for the blind pin Any advice appreciated! Thanks
