Thanks Halfords did cross my mind so thanks for that! I think mine is 'silver lining met' but a google search of those different silvers doesn't bring up many results. Are those the official colour names? -

What's the B pillar? I've found the VIN number on the bottom right of the windscreen but I can't see any paint code there. -

Thanks this is what I was trying to use but the to Tomtom cable was a bit too thick for it but I sort of tried to make it work anyway

I'm not that much of a DIY person with cars so routing the cable anywhere sounds a bit complicated. It seems a bit silly that they wouldn't have designed a way for the cables to come out naturally since the sockets are under the arm rest!? I did manage to fit the cable to the top left side (in your pictures it's the bottom left I think) and close the arm rest without the cable being squashed as I thought maybe that's what I'm supposed to do and there seemed to be a tiny gap in that area. I assume this wasn't correct?

So the socket for charging any device is under the arm rest (as far as I'm aware?) but what if I need the wire sticking out of the arm rest, like when using a tomtom, but also want the arm rest closed? I assume there must be a way to do this without squashing the wire.

Are there any differences between the initial years of 2005 and 2011 for example? Which years should I potentially look for or avoid?

I heard somewhere that some changes were made in roughly 2007/8 but what are these changes? I've tried to research it but maybe I'm not typing the right things into google.

Not yet as I need to take it to lexus as it's a transmission issue and I think only they have the system to see more information about the issue

This would be an issue..I'm going to try an independent garage to check out some other minor issues and see if they manage to catch a transmission issue.

Yeah I'm planning to get it checked out soon but unfortunately don't have any independent lexus specialists near me. Why did you suggest a main dealer instead of an independent garage?

It was in D. I also tried to put it into the S and shifted up but that did nothing. It did seem like it might be in gear 5 but I don't have any way of knowing that?

I've got a new gs300 and was driving on a road but it wouldn't go past about 96mph (very legal on this road) and the revs were completely red lined. What could the issue be or is this normal?
