  1. Thank you everyone that's really helpful, its given me some comfort in knowing that if i absolutely had to there is some margin - though I'm in no hurry to find out!
  2. I had always thought the Prius and CT were identical underneath
  3. Morning All, We've had a few heavy spells of rain nearby and lots of kerb high standing water on the roads - anyone know what the safe wading depth is for the CT200h? It's already quite a low car and I understand the cold air intake sucks air from near the ground.
  4. Mine uses pirelli cinturato P7, no complaints as far as noise or comfort
  5. Hi Phil, I've had my CT200h Advance from last November (approved used) in that time my mpg varies in general around town mpg for me is between 40mpg winter to 50 mpg summer, motorway driving varies between 50-65ish mpg (i've seen 2 occasions where the computer registered 75mpg but that was a fluke (filled up just before the motorway and had steady average speed zone of 50mph for 40 miles). The one thing I hadnt appreciated when i bought the car is it would need a change of driving style to get the most out of the hybrid system, overall definitely happy with the purchase. I bought the extended warranty which added 2 years for £495 which includes 2x MOT test fee as well as comprehensive breakdown cover.
  6. The moveon Navi is the same underlying system as the Renault carminat I believe - PGL if your still having problems maybe try out the Renault forums? - haven't seen too much in the way of information on the Lexus move on navi
  7. You could try reaching out to motor.admin@thewarrantygroup.com, thats where I send all my queries (response time varies from a day to a week)

  9. ok just read the T&C it looks like it does state that the testfee is included - John does yours show the same? Also spoken to the dealer - they cant refund the test fee unless its in the same calendar month but they'll give me credit off the next service - works for me, glad i checked this forum! ::Terms and Conditions of Lexus Extended Warranty for Vehicle Parts:: Page 4 MOT Test: The warranty includes the cost of 2 x MOT Test during the term of the warranty, this does not include the cost of any re-test fee.
  10. I've emailed Lexus warranty department quoting the vehicle reg on the contact listed on the main webpage they came back with: Thank you for the below email. I can confirm your warranty include the cost of two MOT test fee during the terms of the warranty however this does not include the cost of any re-test fee. Please see attached a copy of your warranty terms and conditions for reference. I hope the above is of assistance to you. Kindest regards, Louise Motor Administration Team Assurant The Aspen Building, Floor 2, Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire,
  11. That's what I thought as well, however after reading poundys message I can see some resellers of the extended warranty appear to offer the test fee - Google Lexus parts direct 2 4 1 extended warranty ( assuming this is the Lexus backed one) it shows the following so perhaps it is some sort of limited promotion as it's not on the main webpage: Key Features: – 2 MOT test fees carried out by any official Lexus Service Centre.
  12. Hi Poundy I also have the 2 4 1 extended warranty but wasn't aware it covered the MOT test fee - also can't find any reference to it in the documents where did you read this?
  13. Thanks all appreciate the responses, I don't have the oval indent and the car doesn't respond to my grabbing the front handles so I guess thats that - not a massive deal I'm still very happy with the car -only just learned you can setup a travel itinerary on the built in TomTom - winnings!
  14. Hi all, I have a 2013 ct200h advance, is there a way I can tell if it has keyless entry? Are there any ct200h advance owners that have it fitted to their car?
  15. Poundy do you have ground clearence issues with the catloc? this was one of the factors in my decision to go aftermarket the cars low enough the door scrapes on pavements & some driveways, i didnt want to have anything installed which would be lower than any other component on the undercarriage.
  16. Completely agree, tbh I was torn between the main dealer catloc and the alternative aftermarket i ended up with, for me ultimately it came down to convenience - there are no fit while you wait appointments at Lexus till December where I live, the alternative was dropping the car off during a work day and collecting it later, which given my working hours would be impractical without leaving the car there overnight. There have been a spate of thefts in my local area (2 of my neighbours + based on debris at the side of the road I'm assuming another car in the area) so didn't want to wait. My hope is the extra effort to cut it out would be enough to deter the would be thieves, as I mentioned in my previous post based on the garage owners experience it would appear most thieves are only carrying cutting tools. There was a thread by someone over on the toyota forum who had his cat stolen even after fitting a catloc (though i cant recall if it were a main dealer fitted part or aftermarket) - just something to be aware of, there are a number of publicly shared videos of thieves cutting out the cat in broad daylight and appear to be in no rush to get the job done. From my perspective I wanted to do something to protect my property from theft even if it's just a deterrent. Lastly while the ct200h has an alarm loud enough to wake the dead i suspect though not sure if it has a tilt sensor, Lexus Twickenham actually suggested getting a tilt sensor fitted as an extra with the catloc when i asked them about catloc prices for an extra £60 i think. Personally i would just go down the aftermarket route with a wireless £10 from amazon which at least has its own battery and super simple to install - still mulling this just dont like the thought of an extra fob in my pocket.
  17. IIRC it was 6 bolts, the way he fitted it he took the bolts off slid the plate in between and reattached the bolts, yes your correct i.e. theoretically the would be thief could just walk around with an impact wrench but then they would need to jack up the car, undo the bolts which are probably over torqued then cut it out. I've spoken to a few garages and most of the time they just have the cutter - at the end of the day if they really want to take it they will, you could try purchasing lock nuts to replace the ones already fitted however again its not impossible to get around. One of the garages I've spoken to I know the owner personally and his feedback was he's not had a car return once the plate was fitted... read into that what you will
  18. I just got the part fitted as recommended by Dr S, I asked the garage this question, he showed me underneath the car the cat is extremely exposed in the stock format. I was going to originally go down the main dealer route but was put off by the lead time + the ground clearance with the catloc. The supply and fit was £70, the plate looks thin and flimsy but I can assure you is not. Also I asked about rattling they introduce a small bend at the end of the plate and I can having driven over a few rough roads, on a few fast roads and over a few speed bumps faster then I should I can't hear any rattling.
