  1. I quite like this one, but it's hard to be sure with the crappy angle of the pictures. L-Sportline front bumper
  2. Not got a car to stick it on yet! - I think I'll do the sensible thing and wait until I've got a motor :D Ian
  3. I think the best one I've seen is the TTE - slightly agressive, but too not in your face, and pretty good value. I like the Legana too, but expensive (and don't say you've heard that a guy called AltezzaSportandPrestige does a good deal :megaangry: :megaangry: :megaangry: :D ) Ian
  4. Doesn't look so good there. I'm not into big flat horizontal lips at the bottom (the vileside is the worst for this) I like the side skirts though
  5. On the VIN plate Open the bonnet, look on the back bulkhead under the windscreen, there will be a stamped metal plate with all the details Ian
  6. Does anybody have any pictures of a car with the C-One front bumper fitted? This is the only photo I can find - all the suppliers seem to use the same picture. I'd like to see a few more examples before making my mind up (not got a car to put it on anymore, so enjoying some virtual window shopping in the meantime :D :D ) Ian
  7. Yeah, saw that and swapped PMs with the seller. It looked a good car, but not quite what I'm looking for. Ian
  8. Picked up last night by a guy who lives in Ireland but works in Scotland - not sure where in Ireland, but look out for it in Ayrshire once he's got an Irish plate on it. I think he's got a cracking car at a cracking price. I'm sad to see it go, but at least I can now move on. Still looking for a manual RS200 - preferably post 2000 in a dark colour. Cheers Ian
  9. It is theoretically possible, and has been done at least once. However it is not easy, and likely to be expensive. Lexus won't do it, so you need to find the parts second hand, and then fit it yourself. You need the screen, CD unit and the complete wiring loom, including the stereo connections. They crop up on ebay every now and again and go for anything between 500 and 1000 quid. I think the whole interior needs to be removed to run the wiring through the car. Ian
  10. There is a position detection slider on the left hand side of the dah mount part - when you assemble the unit, you have to make sure the pin on the slider is in the socket of the screen (it'll make sense when you take it apart) Ian
  11. I got one of these as well
  12. I don't think you'll have any problem finding a buyer - but I'm looking for something available now, and also something that isn't as special :D Cheers Ian
  13. In priority order: Year 2000 onwards Black or Charcoal grey Less than 50k miles Non smoker (the owner, not the car :D ) If you are selling, or thinking of selling - drop me a PM! Cheers Ian
  14. Well I wouldn't say that I need all my decisions verified by an internet forum, but it is interesting to hear other peoples comments. :D On the basis that this is an inherently biased forum, every vote for the Altezza probabaly should only count as a half - so in effect I've paid no attention to the good advice I've been offered :P Ian
  15. I'm coming round to the idea of another Altezza Alfa is too expensive VR4 is too hardcore Leon is too common Accord is too bland looking So if anybody knows of a black manual RS200 from about 2000 onwards with less than 50Kish on the clock - let me know. Cheers Ian
  16. I'm coming to the conclusion that nobody over here knows what a Qualitat is, so it's worth nothing over and above a normal RS200.
  17. I'm trying to plan what to do if the worst case scenario happens - and I either can't find a buyer in Ireland, or I find out the de-reg document problem is also an issue over there (double checking this week). I know this is a very difficult question to answer, but does anybody have any predictions on the value of Altezzas in 4 years time? (once a car is 10 years old - it doesn't need to go through ESVA). In 2010, the car will be 10 years old, with 34K miles and in near immaculate condtion. The current going rate for an RS200 seems to be about £8000 - does £3000 seem reasonable in 4 years time? Ian
  18. I've used Pace Ward Financial in the past - very good for imports, high power and mods. SVA conversion stuff doesn't count as mods - it's probably worth mentioning if you swap badges, but Id be very surprised if they care. Ian
  19. I had an Evo 4, back before they were cheap enough for the Max Power brigade to get their hands on them. A lovely car - but the missus hated it with a passion. I need something a little less hardcore now to keep her happy (and I can't afford the running costs now I've got the nipper - 4500mile service intervals and a new set of tyres once a year begin to hurt!) Ian
  20. I know this isn't the best place for an unbiased discussion :D , but just to keep me sane and focused on the future, what do you reckon I should get when (or if) I find a buyer for the Qualitat? The main criteria are: 4 doors and a boot - got a nipper so need to be relatively practical Budget about 10K At least 200bhp Not too common The most important are the last 2 - I'm reasonably flexible on the others My potentials at the moment are: Another Altezza - but find one already registered to make life easy Honda Accord Type R Mitsubishi Galant VR4 (but high running costs are off-putting) Seat Leon Cupra R (the turbo version) Alfa Romeo GT (the 3.2L V6 version - but it's a bit smaller and more expensive than I'd like) I've had an Evo, and my brother got a Scooby, so they are out. Besides, they are a bit hardcore for me at the moment. Anybody got any other suggestions? Cheers guys Ian
  21. Cheers mate - as you said, I think the stumbling block was that the car isn't in Ireland. I thought I'd try my luck on ebay and see what I get offered for an quick sale. If it doesn't go, my brother's got a mate who lives in Cork, so I'll get it transfered into his name, registered in Ireland and get him to sell it for me. Ian
  22. I can understand it not being everybodies cup of tea. It's actually not as bright as the first interior picture markes it look - the colours are more realistic in the picture with the steering wheel close up. Ian
  23. Yes - no problem. However I must warn you, it is very expensive. But on the plus side, it does come with a free Altezza fitted. Ian
  24. That's what the label on the back says, but they are made by the same workforce in the same factory to the same standards. Don't let badge snobbery sway your decision :D Ian
  25. Well spotted! Yeah - I had a go selling it last year when it looked like the model report wasn't going to be available. A couple of weeks later the report was finished, so I wasn't too bothered when it didn't sell. Since then I've run into even more problems with the UK registration system, so it really has to find a new Irish home now. I'll test the water on ebay for a bit, and then maybe put it back on carzone. There's nothing dodgy with the car - it's just the nightmare that is the UK registration system. Ian
