  1. Had the fuel flap fixed again today, Glasgow Lexus say it’s the wrong tension on the springs of the fuel flap and that there should be 4 instead of the 2, seems to be working fine since the fix.
  2. After getting a fix done on my fuel flat it’s gone again today, just refuses to open even with the pull handle in the boot, had to be prised open using a thin flat edge, it’s a real pain but back to the dealer again hopefully later next week, unfortunately one that doesn’t offer the free fuel!!
  3. I can confirm it heats up and clears the windows, you can set the temp to your own needs, the heated steering wheel is very nice, better than in my Volvo s90 which I put down to the leather steering wheel.
  4. It was the remote release, it would keep clicking but refuse to open, I tried the release catch in the boot but that wouldn’t open it either although it all moved freely enough. It was a worry when it went down to one bar, but all done, a wee bit ott but I open it every couple of days just to make sure it’s working.
  5. I had mine in last month for a stuck fuel filler cap and they did the recall at the same time. They had my car for the full day and I didn’t notice any difference with it after the LTA fix.

Just to add my two pennies worth, when I took delivery of my car in February I got a light blue LRA card the week after, and a nominated driver form which I completed and sent back, less than a week later card received. my card has my name, reg no, policy number and member number and all the contact numbers on the back. my wife’s card only has her name and the same member and policy number on it, no reg number.

I can only speak about apple carplay, when on the system bottom right hand corner there are 6 black squares, if you touch it it splits the screen in 2 and you can have the sat nav on one side and the radio , music and messages or whatever you set it up for on the other. I have tried on the Lexus system but can’t get it to do the same.
  8. Has anyone found Lexus branded cups that fit the new NX front cup holders?
  9. All done in just over an hour, haven’t noticed any difference, although I don’t know if I should.
  10. Not sure what happened with mine, it was in yesterday for about an hour then told that they had to send a report to Lexus UK on the update, Lexus UK then advised yet another update is required. So need to return Friday for approx 1 hour, we’ll see what happens then, it’s a real pain but if it needs fixed it needs to be done.
  11. Got my VSC recall letter, booked in 06th, service dept said 2 and a half hours for it.
  12. Fingers crossed for you that it was only a blip, I have had no issues (apart for the delay on calls), since Lexus deleted the profile and started again.
  13. It would be nice to have the US/Canada Lexus app, maybe one day………or not! 🙂
  14. That’s good to hear, it does make a difference with the key being paired. I would be happy if it can sort out the delay on phone calls.

  16. Just noticed after my delete reinstall, the Link app is now up to date, showing most recent journey etc. I will keep an eye on it to see if there are any changes over the next couple of days.
  17. Been in and out the car all day and it’s all working fine for me, profile and key linked.
  18. Totally agree, I have tried a few cases but just can’t get one heavy enough for it to stay in place, I still can’t believe there is no rubber mat on the charger to stop it slipping off the charging point. if anyone has found a rubber mat that fits can you post the link please.
  19. I got my reply from Lexus. solution is Lexus have deleted my car from the system. I had to start again from getting the car, loading up my profile from the phone app, then linking it with the QR code, this sets up everything and opens up a ‘link key’ icon in the personal setting of the car. At first it was greyed out and you can’t do anything with it, I turned off the car went away and about 15mins later, I restarted it and had the option to link the key. everything has been working fine, I have been out and in the car most of the day and it goes straight to car play for me and straight to my profile no guest mode etc. I will see what it’s like in the morning hopefully, hopefully it works.
  20. I have just sent yet another email to Lexus UK asking for an update to my open case, mind you it is only 26 days since my last one which they haven’t even acknowledged, so maybe not anytime soon for a reply. It just spoils the new car experience.

It’s not just fleet cars, Lexus UK confirmed I was not shown as a fleet vehicle although on reset of the system it’s clear to see that the system said it is, screenshot sent to Lexus, they stated it’s not a fleet vehicle ( I know that!), and I should be able to pair the key, I deleted the profile and started again screenshot every screen and sent to them, still no reply from the tech dept if it even exists!, you can maybe tell I’m utterly fed up with them. I had the new car survey through today, I binned it, they are taking no notice of customers complaints (or responding to them), why should I bother.
  22. I couldn’t get mine to work (new NX) at first, then discovered if you stand right in the middle at the number plate press either of the two buttons, wait for the beep and then step back and walk away it works just fine.

It sure is, I can appreciate things can go wrong with new cars, but surely this must have been picked up during trials of the system!, they seem slow to react in the UK to sending out a fix for it, it’s as if they aren’t speaking to each other, I did reference the issues experienced in the US & Canada being the same as mine but it didn’t seem to register. Having come from a Volvo S90 with not one fault in over three and a half years, I’m struggling with a £40k car with a faulty multimedia system and a slow response from Lexus, I really expected top notch customer service and at least a phone call, I seem to be doing the chasing.
