  1. Same here. I ordered by NX 450H+ on 21st January. Dealer system is projecting the vehicle to be available for collection by me 23rd-25th June.
  2. I think that PHEV's are prioritised because Car Manufacturers get fined by the bureaucracy if they don't meet CO2 reduction targets. https://lmc-auto.com/news-and-insights/europes-oems-need-to-keep-prioritising-plug-ins/
  3. 😄 That would be a bit awkward if it didn't do that. I imagine the feature will be based on the Toyota Remote Park stack, I found an app for it on the Japanese Apple App store. It states that it "Assists smooth park-in and park-out", so I guess it will work both ways. https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/remote-park/id1577283172?l=en
  4. I ordered a new Lexus 2 weeks ago. I have downloaded the Lexus app and created a new account using the same details I used when ordering the car. I don't see my order details in the app; the only way to add a vehicle seems to be by entering the Reg Number or VIN. I thought I read that my ordered car should appear in the app so I can follow its build progress. Have I done something wrong? Does an ordered vehicle only show in the app once it gets a build slot?
  5. Same here. I ordered an NX 450H+ with Takumi trim a couple of weeks ago at the Coventry dealership. They had just got updated delivery estimates that day - May/June is expected delivery, August at the latest. Of course all this is subject to change based on the Covid and Car Chip situation, but these were the latest delivery estimates.
  6. I took one out for a test drive at the weekend (NX450H+ F-Sport) and can confirm that it did have the speed camera detection feature.
  7. Maybe, but am not convinced that being frightened by unlikely and low impact theoretical risks without balancing against the advantages is the best way to evaluate this tech.
  8. I think the document is from North America. However, AFAIK, the feature is already live in Japanese NX models. I think the reason for it being released in North America in Q1/Q2 of 2022 is because of the homologation issues (the feature needs approving in that region). Again, AFAIK, this feature has already been approved for vehicles in the UK: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/remote-control-car-parking-become-legal-uk-june
  9. I disagree. 1. Its very common to park in a relatively empty carpark but when you return to your car it is hemmed in either side. I don't want to damage anyone else's car through trying to squeeze into mine. 2. Tech relieves you of the need to maintain workaday skills. I am proud of my skills in doing arithmetic on paper, but I will reach for a calculator every time I can't do it in my head.
  10. Can't find any mention of it in these forums, but the MY22 Lexus NX brochure claims that from spring 2022, NX models with have a remote park feature, allowing you to stand outside the vehicle and park it remotely from your phone app. Useful for those tight spaces in multi-storey car parks. Apparently, it will be delivered to existing NX models with the advanced pack via software update. See page 7 of this resource: https://www.lexus.com/content/dam/lexus/documents/brochures/models/2022/MY22-Lexus-NX-Brochure.pdf
  11. I went in to my local Lexus dealer yesterday, by pure fluke they had an NX 450h+ demonstrator arrive on the same day. I was able to take it for a test drive, absolutely loved it. I have had a Land Rover Discovery Sport p300e on order since August. There has been no indication of a delivery date and this week they advised me that they would be reducing the spec (no 360 camera, analogue dials on dash etc). After the NX test drive, I didn't need much encouragement to cancel the DISCO and order the NX 450H+ Takumi. The dealer advised that there latest update was that delivery is expected May/June, but they state August at the latest.
