  1. Hi, the latest map is 2023 v2 (2023 Q1 data), see attached photo. It is accessible at the www.lexus-tech.eu and at your local Lexus online too. It is free of charge for the first 3years but after that, it is a payable service. I have exactly the same model and year car like yours and this year I had to buy a new subscription, via Lexus e-shop, for another 3year period at a cost of 130€, this offer is always accessible June of each year, right now with the same amount you buy only 1year of subscription. In any case you must be very familiar on how to install software of any kind, only then you can follow the procedure provided at the site of the map (you have to register first) or better, ask your local Lexus dealer to do it, since it is very complicated procedure (laptop needed) and it takes 50 to 60 minutes! I am very familiar with this kind of thinks, so I do it my self for 4years now!
  2. I own the premium line with HUD and I can confirm that it shows only the dedicated Lexus navigation system, BUT there is a feature at the Multi-Information Display were you are able to have "turn by turn navigation" of your mobile's navigation system (carplay or android auto) by selecting "Navigation system-linked display (if equipped)" see below link of online manual: Lexus Owner Manuals | Online Access Manuals | Lexus UK VEHICLE STATUS INFORMATION AND INDI.. ==> Multi-Information Display
  3. Then it is, crystal clear, that you do not have Android and Apple carplay installed. Contact your local Lexus dealer to have it installed.
  4. Go to MENU==>SET UP==>GENERAL==>PROJECTION SETTINGS==>toggle Android Auto ON Watch the attach video tutorial at the 49:40' to see how it is done, in case you do not find it then you do not have Android Auto/Carplay installed:
  5. I am attaching the dedicated Help Center for Android Auto. Ours is connected via USB cable, I am using one of the two available, inside the armrest cabinet, USB ports. Android Auto Help (google.com) For our car there are tutorial videos at: How to use Android Auto with a Lexus (lexusofconcord.com) Good luck, you will spend a little time to gain a very helpful accessory!
  6. Hi, I can confirm that the Lexus ux250h 2019 Takumi (UK) edition or Privilege (Belgium-mine) was bought in September 2019 without Android Auto / Apple Carplay. The Android Auto / Apple Carplay software was installed, free of charge, as an upgrade, between December of 2020 to January 2021 (I can't remember when exactly). I can also confirm that it is working since flawlessly.
  7. We have the same car (edition and model year) and I can confirm that the Android Auto for me it is not displayed at HUD, exactly like Apple Car play. I found a very helpful workaround I use the “Navigation system-linked display” which can be found at pages 121 and 124 of OM76462E_(EE) manual, see attached photo. When I choose it and have a running root at my Android Auto I get the very helpful turn by turn optical navigation guidance.
  8. I checked via www.lexus-tech.eu the last Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), an online payable service, and I found the attached TSB case No 22SMD-117-CL which has to do with a free of charge Data Communication Module (DCM) Reprogramming. It does not affect my UX, I think you may check the recall status of your car at Toyota Recall Checker | Owners | Toyota UK by using your VIN number. TSB_22SMD-117-CL.pdf
  9. Me too, is due of a recent update, similar topic is up at clublexus.com forum as well. I made a relevant report at Send feedback about Android Auto Hope it will be resolved in a next update. Merry Christmas, George
  10. Regarding the 1st question I also believe that is on purpose not to use the screen in order to drive the car or for privacy reasons, not to monitor the license plates of the car in front of you. Regarding the 2nd question if by that you mean when you press the acceleration pedal sudden and hard yes it is normal, it is a kind of noise but it is normal because it gives you the max of acceleration instantly, mechanics can make a better explanation. As for the 2nd question I am attaching a pdf file named “Lexus Personalized Settings” where under section 27 you can read that the kick-off function, if present, it is programmable by the Dealer, sorry for the notes I marked them as a back up for my settings. 11. Hi Tim, I am attaching photo’s on how to access Tech Doc, please keep in mind that at a certain point of time you will be asked to register. In general, the update procedure that I use, is the following: a. First go to Tech Doc and download the map. b. Transfer it to a recently formatted USB of at least 16GB to fat32 format. c. Take with you the laptop and have a free time of about 2 hours for beginner and go to the amazing UX. d. Turn on Share Data on your phone and log in to your phone data via wifi settings of your laptop and access the internet or log on to your home wifi, if that it is possible. e. Access the Tech Doc via the pages I have provided to you. f. If you not feel comfortable of the above-mentioned procedure, just have the map updated by your local Lexus dealer.
  12. Hi, Android Auto Help page provides the following regarding compatible USB cables: Android Auto Help/My Android Auto app isn't working/Check you USB cable I use, without a single problem, this one Amazon Basics Double Nylon Shielding USB Cable, Type C to Type A, USB 3.1 Gen 2 which has the correct length to have it placed inside the armrest, in any case pay attention to the preferred cable length that is up to 1 meter and of cource the type of your phone charger port, mine is Type C.
  13. Check the following: "Verify that the directory named ‘FMU’ is in the root directory, and that following files are inside ‘FMU’: - FMU_PONXXX_1.iso - FMU_PONXXX_2.iso - FMU_PONXXX_3.iso - FMU_PONXXX_4.iso Where ‘XXX’ is the same for all four files" I am attaching: Detailed "Map Update Guide"Map Update Dealer Guide.pdf Brief "Map Update Guide"
