  1. It certainly is, are you coming over Ian? @ Rolex - Rob is in Newport at the mo on a course and says he can get to Bristol Friday - would you mind giving him a lift across please?
  2. Hi folks, just wondered if anyone is going to JAE this Friday who is from the Bristol / Newport area? Rob (fluff3456) is in that area and needs a lift across if possible, do any of you live over that way who could give Rob a lift over on Friday and maybe back on Sunday if you're staying? Thanks in advance :)
  3. Ah the young Mr Hart, saw him last week, he's got more hair now :D
  4. That's mega, but Delorean's are just immense, they look good, hopefully drive good, and when you hit 88mph, they're just like nothing else on the road :D I want a Delorean :D
  5. Nice alloys mate, remind me of something though - do BMW do sport alloys like them? They're tasty though For lowering, you will need to get new springs, I'd personally recommend the Eibach's - cheap enough and good enough to have been selected by TTE to sell on as their own. Less than £200 and transform the ride. I went from standard suspension to coilovers and then to the Eibach's and the comfort was great after the swap :) As for the kits, try sites like Prolex, TDi, Altezza Sports and Prestige, or if you want a definitive list, check out www.takakaira.com - they've got nearly everything you can possibly get for the IS!
  6. Nice write up mate - looking at what you've put then, have you had the ECU remap done on your car now - just wondering from where you've said it improves it?
  7. Just text him saying happy birthday and he said it was 4 months ago - think the plonker has been playing with his profile at some point and got the date wrong
  8. Mark, have to admit I've never seen those posts, don't go onto Dave's forums much, don't get chance, but seeing as most here have never seen them why don't you just reply directly over there so we don't have to see all the agro crossposted over here, like the guys have said it's boring nowadays, Dave's been banned once already because of it, don't want to see that happening to either of you all over again! I've seen good and bad stuff about TDi over on the MKIV forums but never see you posting over on there in your defense? I reckon you and Dave were lovers in a previous life and you're both still having the domestics in this one Hopefully all that anyone genuinely on here wants is for Adie's car to be fixed, so why don't we all stop the willy waving contests - life is too short and other things are more important :) Adie's car is gonna be mega when it's sorted - I want a ride please :)
  9. Thanks mate, that sounds familiar, think we went down there last time we were here years ago, sure we went to the Honey Pot and Yates, it was pretty busy round that end of town!
  10. You should be fine mate, I have a wireless keyboard and mouse at home and they're just the same as the standard kit, just make sure you change the batteries at regular intervals and you should be fine :) I thought you were meaning running some sort of remote access to a laptop via Bluetooth - keyboard and mouse is easy mate - Microsoft do one and Logitech probably do too...
  11. Oh right that should be simple mate, just buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and hook the reciever up to the computer and then you're sorted... Not aware of any issues, just buy some new kit and you should be fine, that technology has been out for a while and has had time to settle down if you know what I mean...
  12. Mark, is the bluetooth a supported option by Rototest or just something you're looking into doing yourselves? If it's something you're just going to try doing what about looking into Wi-fi as that would be quicker, not sure what sort of bandwidth you'd need though for the Rototest stuff, if it's just basic stuff then bluetooth may be enough? I guess security is the biggest concern - what can be controlled from the laptop, or does it just read in the data as the machine is running? Bluetooth itself is fine when I've used it, lots of devices support it now and it pretty much just works but sometimes it can be a pain to get going...
  13. @ Chris, no mate, I'm back up North on Friday afternoon then off to Vegas Saturday night :) Bit gutted I'm missing another big show but then I think about where I'm going and it cheers me up @ Sipey - whereabouts are you pal?
  14. Thanks folks that's cool :) I'm down here til Friday at the Veritas campus on Green Park.... The car is at home having a nice break for a while, getting a lift about in an Astra :o We're travelling back Friday afternoon so that should be fun!
