  1. Enjoy the car, Rob. Considering the migration to the Alpine myself. Aways liked the thought of a small sports car, its a pity the Emera is much bigger. Also being a Lotus fanboy, recently visited Hethel and it did not feel like the car for me. Even the Exige has grown in size, I think its only the Elise that is a competitor to the A110, size and perfomance wise, but very different cars to drive. When we had a chat, I remembered your comments on the A110 GT, being a balance between performance and ride. With the extra power, that seems the sweet-spot. But, its competitor is the original A110. When I moved to London I shared a flat with a French guy. His friend had the original A110 and wow, what a car / go-cart! I see there are a few for sale presently!
  2. Still planning to attend the Big Meet on Sunday! Gather at 11am? It's only 2 hours away and time for a trot....
  3. Just booked my tickets, plus 1 who we hope to convert!
  4. Just checked the MOT website and the recall was noted yesterday for my 2016 RCF.
  5. He's usually well-behaved and has the ability to talk non-BMW. A good chance to indoctrinate him on the way to Silverstone.
  6. Will buy a ticket soon, plan to invite a BMW-friend to see if we can convert him!
  7. Hi all, I am interested in attending. Have not been to such a fest before! Henr6
  8. On the quality tyres, there is only about £60 difference - Michelin / Bridgestone / Continental. They did categorise the Yokohama's as a medium rather than a high quality tyre.
  9. Agreed and that's what I have I have decided to do - Yokohama Advan Sport v105s. I wonder why they were chosen - maybe they were slightly cheaper?
  10. I am just changing one at the moment. The fronts are Yokohama Advan Sport v105s, the other still has a good bit of wear. I will stick with those at present, not using the car much at present. The rears are Michelin PS4s. I have had Pilots on a few other cars and was happy with them.
  11. After a very vicious pothole yesterday, I need a new front tyre. Currently shod with Yokohama Advan Sport v105, these came with the car when I purchased it. A have always had a preference for Bridgestones - but as this is the first time I will have changed a tyre on the RCF - do you know better? The recent EVO magazine group review liked them. I do have a preference for better wet weather grip over outright performance. Thanks, Henry
  12. Great to meet y'all yesterday and a full range of interesting cars. Made very welcome for my first Lexus event.
