  1. Heres mine then, http://img215.exs.cx/img215/6439/lex17pm.jpg
  2. Thanks for that. I suppose ill just have to keep my eye on them and look for uneven wear. The car does feel much better though and could tell a difference straight away. Ive read a few good reports about WIM, and would of liked to make the trip over but its a bit far to be honest, which is why I went to Lexus. If the tyres wear though as you suggest, then ill definatly have to make the trip over. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hmmm thats a bit worriying as Ive just put brand new 18" GSD3's on. They recommended this for me as on the last vehicle check I had they noticed wear on the inside edges which was quite bad. The middle and outside were about 6mm and the insides were bold!! :o So have Lexus adjusted it incorrectly? Anything I could do about this as I dont fancy shelling out for new tyres any time soon. Thanks Tony. Rich.
  4. i must know was that £50 for alignment or a full geometry? ← Hmmm, not sure actually, Ive got a print out from the dealer headed ML4600 with a load of settings stating befores and afters. About 20 different settings that mean nothing to me to be honest.
  5. Just had mine done at Lexus Sheffield. Charged me about £50 with the Gold discount! I also have the GSD3's but not sure whether XL or not. Never knew about this to be honest. Cabt fault the tyres at all though.
  6. Thanks for replies and the offer aido, but ive had my insurance company on the phone for ages today, who have eventually agreed to cover me with the supercharger, but for 85% extra!!! Thats nice of them!!! Looks like ill have to wait a while and reconsider at a later date. Cheers.
  7. i dont know of any problems as yet only minor one with the clips working loose when 1st fitted, little job most can sort yourself, :D i think zee had his charger on for 50,000 + with no problems, if you are wanting a look or drive i live in manchester :D you can have a go in mine no problem, im not just saying this as i have one for sale :P others will be here soon to add to this im sure :D ← Thanks for the offer gord. If I had the time id be taking you up on that mate. Seems like I have little to worry about then. Only other thing, If say when I come to sell the car, and I remove the charger, would there be no evidence of it ever being fitted? Just thinking ahead a bit and wondered if it might put people off if they know it 'had' one fitted. Thanks for the replies and the link aido. Cheers.
  8. Im looking into getting the TTE supercharger and wondered how reliable they are? Anyone had any problems with it yet, either minor or major? Would like to wait for a definate price for the turbo kit really but im sure i'd be more than happy with a supercharger! Just worried if it could cause any problems in the future. Thanks.
  9. Not too keen personally. Squint a bit and it looks like a Mazda 6, with an Accord/Alfa rear end. Saying that it must be so difficult to design a car that looks like no other on the market though. And I can also see a Hyundai Coupe theme going on. Anyone else see this, or is it just me?
  10. I really like the Quartz too. In fact I nearly bought one. The only reason I didnt was because it was an SE and not a Sport. I looked at loads of IS's before I bought my scarlatti red sport, which probably explains why I new this one was the one for me, because it stood out from the rest and seemed so much different to the others. Ive only ever seen one other red one on the road!!! The white seems very rare, but theres one near me and thats the only one ive ever seen! I personally think thats why the rarer colours seem to look 'better', because you obviously dont see them as often, quartz, red, aztec and white. So its a close one between the silver and blues. About level at the moment as expected I suppose. What are peoples views on re-sale values for certain colours then? Silver and Blue are the most popular so does that make them worth more because more people want them, or maybe worth less because theres more to choose from therfore bringing the value down. And are the rarer colours worth more because there less comman, so when they do come up for sale, people snap them up straight away so they dont miss out? Now theres one to think about! :P
  11. Hmmm, its a toughie that one. TTE seems a bit more subtle really, but then the trd lip looks more like it should be there. Im definatly swaying more and more to the full kit now.
  12. Yeah its not bad for women over here! Ive also heard a few stories about women from Barnsley! :shutit: Mansfields a good night too. Webby, got a good deal on fitting and painting as a favour so cant be much help im afraid. Got a few quotes though for around £300-£500, so that seems to be the going rate for the job. Its all about who you trust with your car at the end of the day i suppose. I didnt realise there were 2 options for the rear skirt. Any pics of the trd one to compare?
  13. Just curious really as to what colour IS people on the board drive. Whats the most/least comman etc. Im down for Scarlatti Red. Vote for what you 'have', and maybe post what you 'prefer'?
  14. aido, might have been granite sky as ive seen it a few times when dark. Steve, Im in Sheffield mate. d3fy, havnt ordered them yet. Still deciding on full kit or just spats to be honest. Got a good quote to fit and paint the full kit today so might end up going for the job lot! :D
  15. Ah is that an offer mate? Much appreciated if it is but im gonna order the spats next week and just try them. I think I should be ok to be honest as they dont seem to be that much lower than the bumper anyway. Cheers. Oh by the way, is yours the black one ive seen about with the chrome mania's and kit?
  16. Right, so I should have around 185mm clearance then cos Im on 18's too but but lowered only 15mm. I'll have a measure up in the mornin. Thanks for that. :winky:
  17. PM Chris Shipley as he works for Lexus,i'm sure he will know the part no. ← :shutit: ← Already tried Chris Shipley mate but I need the chassis number of a car that has them, so im stuck on that one.
  18. I seem to have tried everything now to get a price for these tinted headlights. Phoned 2 Lexus dealers and they both cant give me a price on these! Surely someone knows how much they are? What about people who have these 04 models with them, what if they have an accident, they wont be able to get prices for the parts they need! Anyone help me on this please. Cheers. :winky:
  19. Zee, playing it safe ive only got around an inch to play with! The front spats look like they stick 'out' and not down if you know what i mean, so i might be ok with these like you say. Rob, its not actually getting on the drive thats the problem, its going into the garage where its close so cant get any angle on it. Raz, is that 150mm clearance on standard 17's and suspension? Is it a sport so 15mm lower? Like I say ive only got about an inch, maybe 1.5" at the very most! Cheers guys.
  20. Im considering getting either the styling kit or the front corner spats for my IS. The only problem is, my drive is a bit steep and Im thinking it might possibly scrape either the front or the side skirts when driving into the garage, as its already very close without it! I wondered if anyone knows exactly how much lower the kit is than the original bumpers and sills? I only have a very small amount of room to play with and I dont want to fit it, only to find out i'll have to leave the car outside. Thanks in advance. :)
  21. Im gonna go for this then, while ive got a bit of spare cash lying around, then it will soften the blow on the next service when im skint!
  22. Hmmm, I might look into this. I wonder if it will include the coolant change and brake fluid change? Probably be extra I would have thought. Worth a try asking for the discount i suppose. Would make it an excellent deal at around £400 for 2 services. Cant see it though!
