Can You get an Alternative Key fob Battery ( CR2032 ) Which is more Powerfull Never heard of an Alternative battery..!!
They probably just meant a good quality Battery.
You can also buy them quite cheaply and I would assume that they are not quite as good.

Gazetta - rather than publicise anything useful to thieves if your dealer ‘has taken steps to prevent wheel arch attacks’ it may be useful to name them here, then other owners can at least refer their own dealers to yours for advice. Here’s hoping they can use those same methods on my LC!
I think it is "Lexus" that has improved security in the later models rather the actual dealer doing something.

I now have an appointment with a Lexus body shop to see if it can be polished out, or have to have the whole bonnet re-sprayed and the wings to blended in. Supagard to pick up the bill. Next car £500 from a scrapyard then I don’t have to care about the car or the service I get (Good service from Supagard).
I know what you mean about £500 car. Quite tempting to just buy an "old" car that you don't have to worry about.

Yes agree, but dealer said a lifting jack would be provided in due course. As I'm looking for a space saver wheel for the long-trip peace of mind, I'll be happy to have it.
I hope you are correct about this as I would like to have a jack and spare wheel even if it does generally live in my garage.

In the USA, it is possible to use the Link app to start and drive the car. We are happy for the cellphone to keep our bank access secure with secure recognition systems, how can it not be secure for our car? Lexus UK just making the car only fully useful for one driver.
Very good point

I would go £4k.
£4250 if it was really nice 😀
Years ago I bought a 10 year old Mercedes (12,000 miles) for £3000.

Lovely looking old car.
I might buy it for £3000 but no chance at £11,000 😃

I haven't tried it as yet, but can you PULL the door handle (possibly twice) as an emergency exit.

I guess this may look or read bad but having tried to find it with the user manual can anyone explain, How can a passenger(s) exit the vehicle in an emergency if the drive is unable to: move the gear selector to P or use the unlock button on the drivers side. I have tried double pulling the door opener whilst the car is in Drive but not moving held by the brake. Is there a method to open the doors in this situation ????
Very good point actually.
Just after getting the car we had difficulty getting out (due to settings) but are now able to exit, assuming car is in P etc..
I will try a few things too.

So my dealership told me to contact Supagard which I did and they said there should have been a Supagard bag of tricks in the car (not in the car, will deal with the dealership later). Supagard sent me one of their products with instructions so after working on the bonnet for over an hour some of the marks have gone and the rest are not as obvious.
For now I am too busy and the weather does not help but will get back to Supagard and the dealer as soon as. Spent to much money to be happy with the marks. In the past I received quite a big bag of Supagard "cleaning Stuff" which included "bird dropping remover".
Good luck.

High mileage people tend to only fill up when empty.
I normally fill up when below half as my local station is quite unreliable and often runs out of fuel.
Anywhere in between is perfectly fine but do NOT run out of fuel.
Normal Unleaded petrol will be fine.

Unfortunately picked up a discarded tyre valve on the motorway today which punctured a tyre (NSR). Technology worked with the pressure monitor indicating a problem and showing the tyre pressure reducing by the minute. The Run Flats performed well and no adverse handling issues. Lexus Edinburgh responded swiftly however the tyre was deemed non-repairable due to the size of the hole so new tyre fitted. Typical Friday 13th!!!
At least you got it all sorted quickly. I normally get a puncture on a Sunday night or a bank holiday Monday 🙄

Yes you are missing the cable which would connect the car to a charging port.
great car - enjoy
Yes, I agree, you are missing a cable.
When I collected mine it was connected to a charger with "my" cable. It would be easy to assume that this cable belonged to the dealer.

Geese droppings are among the worse for marking, and you need to be very careful when removing them as they contain grit.
Don't think that it was geese, but I once tried to quickly remove droppings and ended up scratching the paint 🙈🙈

I had this problem a few years ago. Very annoying.
Maybe depends on what the birds have been eating.

My 450 doesn't have defroster wires as far as I know. If there are some very fine wires that I cannot see, they certainly weren't working last winter! Maybe the spec is different for different countries?
Same here

Only one full key for me.

Mugs are us seems to ring a bell, most new cars these days don't have a spare wheel or even a space saver and we just accept it,in the name of misplaced priorities lol 😆🔔 😳
I agree. I would happily trade most of the "helpful extras" for a spare wheel and tools 😀

Just got my car after 16 months of waiting (350h takumi)
I got one remote key fob and an addtional "blade" - no key card though. the dealer said an additional key would be coming some time.
If I compare the specs for the NX when I ordered it - and what is online now, originally there were "2 key fobs and card key", current spec only states "1 remote key fob and card key"
so not really sure what the second key will be, a key card or full key?
also the dealer said, that they would not supply any more locking wheel nuts. looking at the current spec, they have been removed as well.
Long wait but at least you have your car. I was told the same as yourself.
I think that the second key (when it eventually arrives) will be a full key.

It's not a problem with the battery. It's only designed to power on the computer and monitor the access systems. If you sit listening to the radio leave the car in Ready mode and the traction battery will power everything with the engine cutting in when needed to recharge the traction battery.
Leaving the car in IGN or ACCES mode will kill the little 12v battery in no time, as my salesman discovered when demonstrating the car to me!
Good bit of information - Thanks 😀

I tried it yesterday with a cable and it worked ok but will try wireless dongle.

I'm not sure if you constantly run on Battery (no petrol engine) the 12v "engine battery" will eventually go flat.
You would think that "the car" would monitor everything and run the engine when required or at least give you some sort of warning.

Regarding the kick sensor you have to move away from the tailgate after using the sensor. It will not operate (and just beeps) if it thinks you or some other object is near.
I had the same issues initially but have now mastered it!
Every day is a school day with the NX 😀
