I hope you enjoy the Takumi. I've had mine for nine months now and it's proven to be an excellent dual carriageway and motorway 'wafter'. I can think of only a few other cars I've owned to have had this ability of munching away miles whilst you remain refreshed at the end of a long drive.
Yes, I agree. I haven't managed too many long runs but on motorways it basically drives itself 😀

Lovely car and some great photos.
NX will be better for your "off roading" 😀😀

I always prefer to have a "proper dealer" service as long as it is not too expensive.
I suppose someone we can trust is all that we want.

It is very annoying when you get a rattle or noise.
I had a really annoying front suspension squeak on a Ford Mondeo years ago. It was a lovely car (GhiaX) but just had to go not long after!!

What a nightmare to change spark plugs 🙈

Thanks everyone. The lady at the dealership has the NX with the same wheel size, she uses 2.4 bar and claims to get fairly even tyre wear, so I might go with that.
Colin/Ron, I've got the car on a 3yr lease, with a total mileage of 27,000miles, so I'm hoping not to have to change tyres; we will see.
I would like to think that we will get more than 27,000 miles out of all 4 tyres but as you say - we will see.

I believe that they are over inflated in Japan and then adjusted in the UK.
Mine were very over inflated (possibly 45psi) so possibly not checked before delivery.

A neighbour has a new LBX.
Nice looking car 😀😀

As said above, you will probably get your second fob in a couple of months or hopefully sooner.
I waited 6 months but deliveries are speeding up I believe.

Meant to say, as well as my Honda lawnmower I have a Honda T shirt 😅
Maybe some day I will have a Lexus T shirt 😅

Spare parts for Honda motorbikes were always very expensive. I presume cars were the same.
Normally you don't require many spare parts which is good.

I have actually had 4/5 honda's and they have been great cars although both my accords driveshaft failed and that was an expensive repair. I have noticed that a lot or maybe even most people tend to stick to the same brand forever once they are happy. Why change! If it ain't broke, don't fox it.
I am not particularly loyal to any brand. If they annoy me at all then I try someone else (hope Lexus is listening 😅)
I have changed from Ford to MG to Vauxhall to Saab to Audi and now to Lexus. Most have been good cars.

I am a bit of a Honda fan (not sure if you can say that on here 😚) although I personally have never owned a Honda car.
I still have a lawnmower and motorbikes which have been very reliable.
Great to get a photo of 100,000. I'm sure I would have remembered at 100,003 🙈

They often came with vinyl roofs....so best to delete the sun/panoramic roof option.
Yes - forgot about the vinyl roofs 😅

I think the range is calculated from your current driving style.
If you are driving on the motorway your range could be very good.
If you are driving slowly around a garage or not moving at all your range is poor.
Probably easy to "lose" 60 miles.

Yes I heard the same but quite happy with the RX for now (albeit it wasn't built for supermarket/public car parks!)
It is a shame that more parking spaces are not a decent size as I do hate parking in many places. 🙈

A beige Lexus?
I can hear the jokes being formulated already.
Reminds me of the brown Austin Allegro with the square steering wheel. What was not to like 😀
I believe they did a nice beige too.

Think that there are a number of minor tweaks to the NX spec also going to be announced. Its likely the panoramic roof option will be added to the 450h+ range.
I was surprised that the panoramic roof was not an option when I ordered but I am happy with the sunroof.

Although I think this is a good move, I don't think it is a good look for either Lexus or ev's in particular. "Buy a 72k Lexus and we'll lend you a car for when you want to travel somewhere"
Can't wait to see the response from the anti ev lobby and press when they find out.
Good point. Although it does appear to be a generous offer it does imply that the EV is not suitable for some journeys.

Looks OK but not a huge difference as far as I can see.
Possibly better off-road.

Build quality v reliability

I did also look at an X3 and very nearly bought one when my Lexus continually got delayed ( by 6 months).
The 3 year warranty on most German cars annoys me. German reliability etc. etc. yet they will only give 3 years.
It the Lexus is totally reliable with no major issues then we have possibly made the correct decision. Only time will tell 😀
