  1. Have you checked: https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/ and the following supplier https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/ They will have one to fit properly.
  2. Does anyone know if there is a CATLOC, or similar device, available through dealers for the LEXUS ES300h? If so, does anyone know the part number?
  3. No, I had no success. My auto-spark just simulated a closed door by pushing on the door jam switch. But still of the three modules purchased, two were plug and play (so the first was not used as I didn't want to spline into existing mini-harness. The two plug and play modules almost worked. I.e. the mirrors 'jumped' but did not fold. I would be happy to send what I bought on a goodwill basis. If you or your auto-spark can get them to work, let me know the full installation/operation details.
  4. Andre, In addition to the reply I have just sent referring to one of my previous posts (linked below again). See also the attached below This was cited in my previous post as not being suitable (assuming your regular tyre size is 235/45R18) with reasons. Did you not read it?
  5. Some may have seen my earlier posts on this. My Autoelectrician is fitting (on Friday 6th October) my plug and play (no splicing) mirror folder/unfolder (press key fob lock to fold (and close windows and sunroof if open) and single unlock press to unfold mirrors only and window/sunroof closer (open windows/sunroof will close (on key fob lock single press) and open back to their previous positions (on key fob unlock double press).
  6. My TRAY, SPARE WHEEL PART # 64779-33280 arrived from partsouq.com only taking 7 days. Total cost including shipping and FOREX transaction fee £110.02. Im fitting it tomorrow.
  7. Seeing Autoelectrician on Friday 6th October. He's also going to fit a new module I've just received. See other post. Opens/closes mirrors, windows and sunroof. Lock closes all. Unlock (once) unlocks and unfolds mirrors. Unlock twice (double click) also open windows and /or sunroof back to their last position.
  8. I'll let you'all know when the TRAY, SPARE WHEEL arrives from the UAE. There should be no duty as irs under £130 GBP. If they wish to charge VAT I'll provide a disabled person's exemption code as I cannot afford to be stranded. We'll see of that flies.
  9. It would be fair to say Yoshi parts speedily gave a full refund. I even gained c.£10 on the FOREX conversion!
  10. If successful I'll measure interest for the all singing all dancing module amongst ES PE owners on a new thread, as suggested by 'beyond the blue'.
  11. Yes my detailed one just disappeared into the ether! Short version. All singing/all dancing module arrived (from different supplier) I no instructions (Chinese or English) Ive just found instructions on the seller's thread and translated into English. Expected delivery to be 3 weeks instead of 5 days so I put appoint with auto-electrician back to Friday 6th September. Will try to bring appointment forward on Monday. Im asking him to confirm reset on existing mirror folder is OK and to fit and test auto mirror folder/window & sun-roof closer on lock/unlock. Will keep you' all posted!
  12. PartsSouq have despatched the tool TRAY, SPARE WHEEL by Emiratee Post/Parcelforce. Hopefully, they'll re-stock soon. The Thai supplier Yoshi parts recalculated shipping by FedEx International Priority as an oversize item to $339. 53(part cost $99.41). Total $438.94! Needless to say I cancelled with full refund (awaited).
  13. I've ordered a different module which also has three plugs which should close windows, sun roof and fold mirrors on locking. It will unfold mirrors on one unlock click and re-open windows and/or sunroof to their previous position ion two unlock clicks. When fitted I'll let you'll know!
  14. To simplify the critical factors to check for your chosen skinny wheel are: CHECK 1 (OBVIOUSLY) Will it fit on the studs? Does the skinny wheel have the 'standard' LEXUS/TOYOTA stud pattern (PCD) of 5 x 114.3? If not, move on! CHECK 2 Is/are the outer diameter / rotations per mile within +/- 3% (2.5%) of the original? Why? It reduces, as I understand, potential transmission system stress to a minimum. Use a tyre size comparator tool such as found at: https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/ E.g. My original ES tyre size is 235/45R18 One suitable skinny tyre size would be 135/90R17 Difference in rotations/mile 1.1% Not suitable would be a skinny wheel I was offered (from an NX300h) NX300h skinny tyre size 165/80/R17 Why? Difference in rotations/mile 4.2% My motto is: 'Don't overthink it: Deep thinking can be positively dangerous; particularly for those who don't!'
  15. My auto electrician (I don't think you need one if you are capable of taking the door liner out) is fitting it next Friday 22th September. [I have got in advance from the factory instructions on how to reset/reboot it just in case it's required. You know how electronic set-ups can sometimes require a reboot of some sort]. Given it plugs into three existing sockets (door lock/window motor and a permanent live feed) it should be easy! (We shall see). If this works I might ask for the module which closes/opens all windows/sunroof & mirrors upon locking/unlocking. They have yet to confirm this will work with UK spec. (RHD) Lexus ES.
  16. I am hoping to be able to confirm an automatic mirror opener/closer module which works. It's plug and play - no splicing of cables no warranty issues.
  17. Good job. I bet your Takumi is just beautiful. My ES PE arrived 24/8/23 on a trailer from the dealers* I'll let everyone know (confirm) if the thin tray does the job OK. Total cost after currency exchange was £112.76 (including forex bank fee). I'll let you know if HMRC sting me with anything. *I purchased my ES PE via MOTORFINITY and paid c.£34.4k instead of £40k. Bluelight/Military/NHS/teachers (serving or retired) are eligible via the appropriate membership/card of Bluelight/Defence Discount/Teachers' Perks, etc. MOTORFINITY acts like a fleet buying intermediary. You won't get the LEXUS 'welcome experience', quick demo and/or set-up at the dealers BUT I've found only practice and reading the manual makes things sink in anyway.
  18. I bought the ES TAILORED PREMIER RUBBER CAR MATS from carmats4U.com for £44.98. Very good quality. Very thick (5mm) with a tactile criss-cross pattern top surface for retaining water/sand. Good quality Toyota/Lexus fastener holes on the fronts. Made from a solvent-free type of rubber. Excellent fit/original pattern. I bought the BOOT TRAY/MAT from nomadauto.co.uk for £28.99. Excellent quality. The rubber is a type of slightly stiff plasticised rubber (thermoplastic- being both flexible and strong) similar to but stronger than the OEM one supplied as part of an accessory pack for my previous 2013 Toyota Auris Hybrid. I would say this after-market one is slightly thicker than my Toyota original. It doesn't say it's made using a solvent-free type of process (but it didn't stink of solvents straight out of the box) and it's non-stick. E.g. my small plastic storage basket doesn't slide around. Excellent fit/original pattern. I personally did not rate the products I got from CarMats.co.uk the boot liner and front near front side mat arrived with tears. The rubber was extremely thin (1-2mm by eye-estimate) and they stunk of solvents. They've refunded the cost of the boot mat but are being a little difficult over the mats at the moment.
