Thats certainly bloody mindness saying that, if they are mixing the paint, I have a Kensington Green and I too had thugs decide to kick in my offside wing (£680) under insurance, for a figure of £150 they sprayed my sports grille, front spoiler splitters, sports lip spoiler, rear moulded lexus mud guards and fitted the lot. Did a spiffing job too... I think your repair shop is just being difficult. Good luck with the spray can! It will be worth it. Mine looks great if I do say so myself.

Oh jus to let you all know I grabbed some stuff outta the car which some of you may want. I have a Full IS200 Toolkit, CD Sat Nav computer with the CD in from the boot, Allow centre Caps, Side repeaters, A Spair wheel screw holder and some lexus offical car mats. Let me know if you want any of it. maybe you got some of that stuff missing from yours? Hi I might be interested in the set of car mats, if they are GC and black, what else would I need to put the sat nav in to a none sat nav car, seen a screen and housing on e bay reasonable priced so far? PM me with price and P+P on the mats please... Oh and commiserations on your loss...

Hi, make sure they give you a new set, I bought a 51 plate last year from the dealer with a years warranty, they gave me a 'new' set of 5 spokes and within a year these too bubbled, found out they were refurbed, argued with Lexus UK and got another set of 'refurbs' for free as a gesture of good will as they said that they were NOT covered under the extended warranty but ARE under the first 3 years so you are definately covered. I also know now that Lexus send their wheels for refurb to a company in Woburn Sands called Pristine http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/index.php So if at anytime you need refurbs go direct here about £70 all in for the polished laser edged ones. The price goes down with qty of wheels. Also talking to MK Lexus they know there is a problem with the UK IS wheels, though Japan do not have this problem so do not consider it an issue, must be costing them a fortune to replace all these bubbling wheels

You will definately be disappointed and angry with the price you will be quoted on selling your IS200, been there with MK Lexus, wanted the new 250IS but they were struggling to offer me 9K, mine is a 51 plate with 30K immaculate in every way. I bought mine one year ago in Hadleigh for 12,850 18k on the clock, so one year on! and a heafty loss... But I like it and will be keeping it for a while yet... No real choice I suppose>

Hi, funny that, I had new refurbed wheels put on my IS200 when I bought it from main dealers, within the year they had started to bubble, I complained and got a new set of refurbed but in the transaction found that a company called Pristine, do all Lexus wheels for the dealers, on ringing them direct, the price is around the £70 bracket to refurb the IS ones which have a polished flat edge then laquered again, I went other places and they could not give this finish. So for a 17inch refurb as new £70 I thought was reasonable. By the time you have...errr, scuse me, bodged it, paid for the repair kit, paint, laquer and then made it look different, maybe give these guys the call first... I know what you mean, I am with NTL, I did have problems, the call waiting was never activated (18 months) the TV top set would freeze and the broadband locked up and wouldnt allow connection. On talking to customer services there was a lot of yes sir, no sir, but no real solution, so I said put me through to disconnections! A few threatening sentences and now I CAN'T leave them for at least a year or two more! I was given 3 x £100 credits, 1 years credit on the broadband (£24.99 per month and ended up with a credit of just about £600! half price line rental for 3 months and a few other sweeteners... that started in 2004, I think its about time to ring them again.... 16 meg sounds interesting from Bulldog! yes and they paid for my phone call!
