Hello,Have just bought my first Lexus and while taking a friend for a spin he decided to adjust tilt of backrest, somehow he managed to break one of the 2 prongs (the top one) that work the seat.I did find the proper knob on the floor later.Annoyingly the seat is now in the extreme upright positon I can still get the headrest to move but no luck with the backrest. Is there anyway of moving it manually even if it meant it been stuck in a more comfortable position that would be something.Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would be inclined (no pun intended) to take the passenger seat out of your mates car and swap it with yours. Otherwise, you could just try and get someone really fat and heavy to sit in your passenger seat wearing nylon underpants that are too small for them and wait for them to wriggle the seat back into position. :D

Seriously though, can't you even jam a very small cross head screwdriver into the remains of the prong which has snapped off and move it back to a normal position?

Thanks for the advice and welcome to the club. The screwdriver method works the headrest but the backrest just wont budge.Looks like Ill have to find a fat person with the right type of underpants ,asbestos would be better
