Hi

I'm new to this club and this is only the second car I've replaced front discs on, therefore a novice in car DIY terms.

What I want to know is I've got to the stage of removing the discs should they just come off with a outward belt with a hammer or is there an attachment/nut? I,m suspecting they just need a good belt however I thought it would be a good idea asking you guys?

There is a lot of stuff on the earlier GS300

The car is a 2005 GS 300 SE.

Thanks

BILL S

They shouldn't even need a hammer. Just take off the wheels and calipers, they just pull off. I have the same calipers & discs on the front of my IS250 SE-L.

With the wheel removed look near the stud holes and you will see 2 more threaded holes which do not have aligning holes in the hub, I think it is a 6MM thread, find a spare bolt with a matching thread and just wind it into this hole, the bolt will meet the hub and press the disc off with a very satisfying clunk, no hammer required.
