Abs Sensor/system On The Blink?

Following on from a previous post regarding struts and braking system - found nothing amiss, I am leaning towards thinking it is possibly the ABS?

It would appear that this temporary juddering/noise that ONLY occurs at low speeds, say 5 - 20 mph could be the ABS engaging? is the sensor malfunctioning and has anyone else had experience with this? Is the sensor an integral part of the hub on a MK3 or a seperate item and is this a part which requires replacement after so many miles?

Any ideas gentlemen?

The sensor I'm pretty sure bolts into a hole in the hub, and gets readings from a notched plate that turns with the wheel. Maybe try cleaning/ reseating the connectors to the sensors?

I had this problem on another car, exact same problem, all I did was unbolt the sensor, cleaned it and bolt it back on, and it worked fine after that

You will see it if you take a wheel off, There will be a thin wire going to the brakes for the wear sensor (if its still there) and another going to the sensor, in at the hub.

Cheers Ian, I replaced the wear sensors - should be straightforward then....I'll let you all know how I get on and if the problem is resolved.
