Changing Coolant To Toyota Red

Hey,

So my car had green coolant in it when I bought it and now 2 years down the line, I've decided to change it from green to Toyota Red.

So how would I go about flushing/completely removing the old green stuff? My local mechanic said that he'd drain it all, and then put a hose in to get the old stuff to flow out, and then just leave water in my cooling system, and that I should drive it for a few days till another flush before putting in red coolant?

Would that be alright for the system? And one more thing, when googling stuff, I read that you should use distilled water with the antifreeze, but I don't seem to find any distilled water for sale? only de-ionised, or is tap water fine? I got filtered water at home if that makes a difference :>.

You can make it yourself just google it if you buy antifreeze from Toyota it comes pre mixed so you need to drain the block as well or you will end up with a weak mix
