Hey i just bought a toyota altezza 2003 model with a 3sge engine. It has about 233631km on the engine and i want to change the oil. At this stage of the engine's lifespand which would be the better oil to use between the 2, keeping in mind that i live in the caribbean so is mostly hot all the time. I've heard the myths about synthetic oil so i just want some clarification. Pros and cons if necessary.

Synthetic is better - that's all there is to it. Use the right grade for your climate.

Synthetic will take longer to break down, giving it's best protection for a longer period of time.
