Lexus IS220d Centre screen failed

Hi

I have an 08 Lexus 220d where the main centre screen is black and not working. I have had all the fuses checked and all are good. The diagnostic could not pick up any navigation information. The row of buttons below the screen (Recirculation, Heated windscreen etc) are not working. I have been advised that it is the navigation module that has gone down but being such an expensive part I do not want to make any mistakes. Could any one confirm that the navigation module would cause a loss of screen and the  buttons below the screen?

I bet its a really simple fix.  Find someone who know electronics and get them to check the boards.  I bet itll be some IC thats blown or even simpler a fuse on the board.  There is usually a fuse that manages the voltage.  If there was a spike it would have blown, saving you costly repairs. 

That said you first have to remove the unit....
