Transmission Specialist in Bristol

Hi there. I'm a new member having bought my first Lexus - an IS200 Sport with a 3UZFE V8.

It's from 2002 and has a J160 6 speed manual gearbox and LSD.
I'm trying to find a transmission specialist local Bristol who can resolve my issues without the need for me to get a second mortgage.

ISSUES
1. Gearbox needs the input shaft bearing replaced as it's noisy in neutral at idle. The noise disappears when the clutch pedal is pressed.
2. The diff needs work as it's beginning to whine. Also, when driving and you disengage the accelerator, there is a slight 'clunk'.

I was told to contact a renound local specialist who declined stating 'we don't have the specialist tools to do Lexus boxes or diffs'.
I'm not sure that's completely accurate.

Any info on the above statement or if anyone knows of a good specialist, please reply.

Thanks,
AndyMc67.
