Problem & Solution: When playing USB the USB/media unit switches off while driving after hitting a bump in the road etc..

2015 model design - USB reader in center armrest compartment.

Problem.

When playing the media USB while driving I found that when I hit a bump in the road the media/USB unit would switch off and would have to turn on again every time until I hit another road bump or speed hump etc.. This got annoying until I found the solution.

Solution

I bought off eBay for around £3 a USB extension to hold to the USB away from the car socket to combat the impacts coming through the suspension and after three weeks of trail it has passed bump test.

Hope this helps others with similar problem.
