Interior lighting far too DIM on 3rd Gen. GS450h (2008)

Recommended Posts

Hi,
DIM DIM DIM  - 3rd Gen GS450h (2008)
Help!
Is there any way I can get the interior illumination lights - say the main one in the console above the rear-view mirror - brighter?
The flip-out panel which has the wing mirror controls has switches to control the instrument panel lights but there's no controls for the interior lighting.
I can improvise (and can solder), and there's a lot more out there in terms of LED lighting than there was in 2008.

I wouldn't think so, not easily at least. Even if you replace the bulbs with brighter ones, no guarantee you won't cause damage to the wiring/circuity due to
the increased current.

Mine are pretty bright so can't see why you'd want to in all honesty. I can easily read by them with zero issues.

Find LED bulbs with the same sockets and you can get more light inside. LED use far less power than conventional bulbs so will not use more power and not heat the wiring more than the OEM bulbs. LED bulbs can be had in several colours from white/blue (like Xenon) to more pleasant interior light.
