Hi folks, does anyone have any knowledge about changing the HiD bulb on the RX400h?

Yes. I did it without dismantling the entire front of the car...as videos will tell you.

But if you have Sonny Liston's hands you won't have a choice. You have to budge over the fusebox on the passenger side. Battery out palaver on driver's.

You can access the aperture with some wriggling around. You have to release and reload spring loaded clip. You can see the clip 'horns' in pic below.

The HID slots in so you know it has seated. But you have to make sure you're holding it correct as you go in. Use a strong LED light to illuminate area.

Prepare hands for scratches, bruising and to an observer, you will appear a peculiarly angry person shouting and swearing, bent double, arm deep inside the car bay.

Goof luck

LOL good description of what I just went through. I released the fusebox that you spoke of but still had probs getting my hand in, just needed another couple of inches, damn. I did have to remove the clips and nuts to loosen the bumper so I could get to the hidden nut. Four nuts in total I was told and to be careful not to break the top clips when removing. turns out, I should have looked closer, someone had already done the same process to change a bulb and he snapped the clips (only noticed when I came to move the headlight, the snapped parts cam apart. Anyways, git the extra couple of inches I required but did not remove the headlight completely. When it all went back together it was a pain to get everything in the right place and fitting properly, That managed, I had to fix the snapped clips with epoxy. All done, working finne once again.
