As per their T / C's : -

Thank you for choosing Crieff Hydro Hotel as your holiday destination. Please read the following terms and conditions that would apply when booking accommodation through the Website. Deposits To guarantee your reservation a non refundable deposit of £10.00 per adult per night or £20.00 per self catering unit per night. This may be deducted from your card prior to arrival. Should your card be debited prior to arrival this will be deducted from your account on departure. Cancellations In the event of cancellation between 21-28 days prior to arrival your card will be debited for 50% of the total cost of your holiday, 8-20 days incurs a charge of 75% and thereafter 100% costs of your holiday would apply. Any extras cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will be charged at full cost and debited from your debit/credit card.

Reading this, I'd say that any cancellations a month before means you loose your despoit, after the 28 days then OK, 50 % to 100%
