What Is That Black Box Behind The Radiator On Alte

Hi all, just noticed that the black box labelled coolant is almost empty and I dont know if its water or not ?

could it be a special type coolant that I need to get?

no it is not water, it is proper coolant - what colour is it?? red by any chance?

if so go to ur local toyota dealer and get some more coolant, but u need to find out

a - is there a leak somewhere

b- was it never filled properly

there is no leak at all, and I can't see the colour (too dark)...

is there a difference between Lexus and altezza coolant?

nope its all toyota coolant, but check what colour of coolant it is, different colours can mean different types, never use just plain water, coolant has a lot of extras in it one of them being anti corrosion additives, if u dont, expect to get a new radiator

thanks for the feedback , will be calling toyota dealer ... I need to findout the colour first :)

just found out the colour and its red and lexus edgware road quoted me 25 quid for 7 litres :D, I am off to get it before they close
